Pocket$ $traight 02-16-2007, 07:05 PM OUR OLINE IS JUST AS GOOD AS INDY'S IF NOT BETTER and trading betts would be the dumbest thing the redskins ever did since signing adam archuleta to a 30 million dollar deal i say we re-sign dockery pick up clements and fletcher and go for branch first but if he's gone get gaines adams that will shore up our defense leave the offense be we have weapons there and since we dont pick again until the 5th round we sohuld look for a true kick returner althugh rock did a decent job for us look at the numbers we have had 3 kickoff returns for touchdowns by rock, ladell, and antonio brown who was cut so just think if we had a devin hester, or a eddie drummond our avg starting field position was one of the worst in the league last year and i would much rather have campbell who is still developing to have to go 50-60 yards to score rather than 75-80

Dude, it is Friday and I just got off work. Please pass what you are smoking.
Give me one example (besides that you typed it in capital letters) how our offensive line is better than Indy's.
I will give you three why they are better. Indy's offense finishes drives with touchdowns typically with runs, Indy's won the Superbowl. They have two pro-bowlers.
Your turn (in lowercase please).

we have a pro bowler Chris Samuels at LT and Randy Thomas and Jon Jansen are potential probowlers and dockery and rabach are solid

The biggest reason Indy finishes drives with TD's is Peyton Manning and their myriad receiving threats at his disposal. Load the box to stop the run near the goal line and Manning audibles out to a pass. Lay back and their runners are very effective getting to the end zone. Without question, Washington's O-line is more physical than Indy's. That said, their O-line versatility fits Indy's offensive approach, while the Skins' physicality fits the game that Gibbs favors.

Overall, Indy has had the better line for years now, but our line excells at run blocking. We had a bunch of pass protection problems early on, but apparently we got those issues shored up by Week 17.
Pocket$ $traight 02-17-2007, 12:50 AM Let me say that I am not trying to piss on our O-line. First of all, I think we have a top 5 line.
That being said, we don't have dock at the moment. To say that Jansen is a potential pro-bowler is more than wishful thinking. To honestly believe that our line is better than Indianapolis' at this point in time is beyond blind faith. At this present time we have one legitamate pro-bowler. Thomas is a candidate but he is not the same player that he was in '05.

I don't want to hear "potential" I want to talk about reality. Jansen is on the downside of his career. Thomas is probably our best lineman but shoulda coulda woulda, he was hurt last year.
Our line was dominant between the 20s. Indy's was dominant inside the 20.
This is a moot point.
CHIEF CHUCKING MY SPEAR 02-17-2007, 10:22 PM Well i wouldnt make that deal unless extra picks were involved. But hey were talking about the skins so we probably throw our other two picks in too to get Ramsey back lol.
Jayman 02-18-2007, 05:09 AM I could see a three-way trade!! The Skins send Betts and Arch. to the Bears. The Bears send T. Jones to the Jets, and the Jets send the Skins Villma.

Benson and Betts seem pretty similar to me. Why would the Jets dump Vilma for T. Jones who may be released at some point (since Benson was a #4 pick)?
