For all those waiting heres the NY Giants website reporting:

February 12, 2007
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants today began the offseason restructuring of their roster when they released three veterans, offensive tackle Luke Petitgout and linebackers Carlos Emmons and LaVar Arrington.
Two of the players are former first-round draft choices (Petitgout by the Giants, Arrington by the Washington Redskins). Petitgout has played his entire career with the Giants. Arrington spent one season in New Jersey after six years in the nation’s capital. Emmons played four years in both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia before spending the last three seasons with the Giants.
Petitgout and Arrington had their 2006 seasons ended prematurely because of injury, while Emmons missed four games with a pectoral injury.

the rest is here(I didn't see anything about Morton): Michael Eisen - Story - 2.12 Giants Release Petitgout, Emmons and Arrington - Giants.com (http://www.giants.com/news/eisen/story.asp?story_id=24345)

The only good thing Lavar ever did was lay the wood on Troy Aikman. Other than that, he was a huge disapointment!

I think Lavar should retire. If he continues to play he will either injure himself further or become a laughingstock. He couldn't run well before the last injury and he will be worse if he tries to come back.

It was the "stupidest" if you took it seriously, of course I felt terrible that a great player like Troy Aikman (even if he did play for the Cowboys) career had to end like that. Sometimes you have to step back and say, "now is this guy joking or is he serious." That, my friend, was a joke. Sorry to offend at all. Also, sorry to come off as a smart aleck, prick.

No not the part about Akiman (I'm fine with that ) The part about the only thing he did for us part was stupid. Like him or not, he did provide this team with some great plays while he was here and to say other wise is just stupid in my opinion.

Or MLB.

I always thought Lavar would have made a great MLB. But

better DE than MLB...he was too undisciplined to be a solid MLB

Dude gave us 4 and a half mil to get out of DC. I'm guessing this runs deeper than Dale Lindsey.

Of course it does. He and Danny Boi don't like each other from the contract dispute.
