Fred Smoot Update

Just wanted to post an article I found on Fred Smoot and his feelings about playing for the Vikings. Not saying the Skins should go out and sign the guy tommorow - just sending along an article.

Here is one tibit that I found interesting that Smoot said:

"I would love to be a Viking," he said. "But I am nobody's bench rider. Fred Smoot is a starter."

How can the Vikings keep him happy on the bench if he says this?

I love Smoot. He's solid and I miss Silky Johnson. :(

Citizens for 81 loves it when players refer to themselves in the 3rd person.

Malcolm does too. He's just a character.

If he was here during the loveboat incident, he and Portis would have gone apeshit together.

I once thought it was just another warpath thread topic w/no chance of being reality. But if that article is right, there is a chance that Smoot comes back. A lot of teams would want to save $5mil in cash. Not us, but maybe the vikes.
I don't think we could guarantee him a starting job though, and that may be part of his demands.
Let's bring him back!

I think we could guarantee that, for WAY cheaper than Clements or Samuel.
