I don't see why he would want to leave, who is going to give him a deal that compares with what he will get here??

He may want to chase a ring and cannot see this team getting there the way they are currently run.

At this point in his career money may be secondary (no pun intended).

Money always talks.

When you come to Washington, yes. When you leave, not as much.

Players come to Washington to meet financial goals, they go to New England to win.

does springs think hes gonna get paid more elsewhere? i doubt that. 32 year old injury prone corners dont usually get paid a lot

While we're at it, let's get rid of Griffin and Washington and anyone else that can actually play defensive football.

If there is any way to keep him here, we need to keep him here. I can't remember who said this first, but he is a "force multiplier".

Unfortunately the usually come here after they win to get a payday. Maybe someday the Redskins will get it.

The Post also said (a few weeks ago) that the Jansen situation was going to get a little hairy. This could be speculative, simply because Springs level of play isn't likely to match his projected salary for this year - which isn't meant as a slight on Springs, it's the way his contract is scheduled.

What would the Patriots do with Springs?

Win football games.
