So he's apparently decided to honor his option to get out of the last year of his contract making him an unrestricted free agent.

Just wanted to throw this out to the board...is this someone we should consider?

Is he? I don't know really. I know he tore his ACL or something like that at the beginning of this year.

I mean personally I don't think we need him, I'm just wondering what others think

Well he was good at Ohio State, and good with the Colts. Ran into some injury issues the past couple of years. But he's a solid player when healthy.

The guy can hit too.

honestly I dont know a whole lot about him either, but his stats say something, what Im not sure, but seems like he made a good impact his first year, then down from there. Im guessing injuries had alot to do with that, or not?

The problem that I have is that he tore his ACL. Everyone agrees that is a two year injury so he would be limited next year. I think they are o.k. at the second safety spot.

Well he's had some character issues so that's something to think on. But he is a solid enough player. Better than what we have. Does he fit? Not sure. He played cover two in Indy though. I think I'd go with another no name. Outside of the AA debacle(granted it was a big debacle) they seem to have success with no names back there. Clark was solid and Prioleau and Fox got the job done. I'd like an upgrade over Fox but Doss will probably cost some dough that we need to use elsewhere.

With all that and the knee there are some questions.

His coverage skills are very suspect. I wouldn't see him being a good fit here at all. He's a Roy Williams Jr.

As opposed to Hank Williams Jr?

;)
