I don't think that Allen was as much of a factor as you believe.
He missed 5 games.
His legs were S-H-O-T! he could not get to the second level or the corner anymore. He was L-O-S-T in space.
He is a HOFer (whatever that means) in my opinion, and he was one of my favorite players.
It looks like the Dockery negotiations are stalled......I agree. Allen is still nasty but he isn't what he once was, his legs are nearly done as you mentioned. He shouldn't have gone to Hawaii this year.
