Glad to see he gets in. Nice to see something positive in these dark times.

doesn't deserve it. he needed to have a humbling off season, get hungry...i don't really blame him fully for his struggles, but he needs to know that his performance is not acceptable- and not up to par with any of the elite safeties in the league.

Thats drunk talk !! I mean c'mon man. ST and the whole defense had a bad year. We know ST can cover, tackle, stay in position and stay healthy, considering how he plays, better than sanders. sanders is a very good safety but ST had a bad year, so I will say sanders was better this year, but overall sanders is inferior to ST.

Inferior? No way. Sanders is a beast. I love the way he plays. Look at how he made Indy's defense better? You can't deny that.

Regarding Taylor? Prove me wrong next year. Play better. Cover better. Tackle better. Stop trying to knock people out all the time. Be more disciplined. Start to become more of a leader. Study more film. Whether ST wants to realize it or not he is one of our best players when he wants to be. I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooo tired of fans saying that he misses Ryan Clark. That his play slipped because Clark always got him in position. That is such a bunch of BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ST has been in this defense for a few years now. He knows where to be. And if he doesn't then shame on him and the coaches.

Look, I'm not knocking the guy. But like I said, as one of our best players, he needs to be more like Ed Reed or Brian Dawkins. Those guys make their defenses go. They are leaders. Can ST grow into that role? I guess time will tell. But he's never going to be the player we all know he can be taking orders from other players. Do you see Dawkins, Reed, Donavan Darious or Sanders being told where to line up? HELL NO.

Bob Sanders is a good safety, but its easy to play safety when your team has a 20 point lead and dwight freeney.

He had the MOST tackels on the entire team. Maybe his play wasn't the best it's been, but he still deserves this!

Tellya what, I'll take Taylor...and umm, you can keep Bob Sanders:)

Honestly, I would rather have ST too becasue of his upside. But right now Sanders is better. That's all I'm sayin.

ST is a game changer. He is a fairly rare thing today. In the mold of a Ronnie Lott. A safety that hits like a line backer.............an ass kickin' line backer. He is feared by those that travel our middle. You can see time and again in the play of the opposing recievers.
It is a statement about our 2006 D that he led the team in tackles.......a BAD statement. He was asked to do to many things on this team, to do them all well. He is PURE FOOTBALL. I wish I enjoyed what I do, as much as he does. He deserves to go. Congrats ST

ST could become the most dominant safety since Ronnie Lott. ST does sometimes change the outcome of games. ST does make opponents fear going across the middle and has an impact even when he isn't making tackles.

That said, ST got beat for a lot of plays. Stallworth killed him on a double-move for a long TD, Steven Jackson made him look silly on a long TD run in which Taylor was stumbling and bumbling and didn't even touch him. Taylor whiffed on Rams TE Dominique Byrd's first catch in the NFL and got beat for a TD. Moreover, ST only had ONE INT this season. I'm happy he's going, but I am not sure his play (or any other Redskins defender's) merited a Pro Bowl nod.

I'm not sure why people get all upset about the ST debate. I think everyone agrees that he has the potential to be the best safety in the league, wouldn't trade him for any other safety, and is happy he is going to Hawaii. I think everyone could also agree that, for whatever reason, his 2006 season was not exactly top-notch.

I would agree, not his best year
