Alvin#40 02-05-2007, 01:13 AM Congrats to the colts--to think, they won it with defense, running, and the short pass!
I thought one of the RBs should have been MVP, but that was one of those deals where it was for Peyton's career as much as for this game.
How long until the draft? ;)
I agree. But the vote at my party was undecided on backs. MVP had to go to Manning. :argue: :vomit:
Alvin#40 02-05-2007, 01:16 AM It's true and I'm sure that played a factor in his decision making, but even so did you see how much room Addai had to make plays?
That's just patience at its best.
Good point....Brunelle's passes left his hand in 3 seconds...Mannings 5 secs or so.....check down. 1 of the cover 2's weaknesses. Gotta have some quick backers. Kudos to Dungy's rain and non-rain game plan. GREAT coach!

Come on now...Doug's trophy means something i would hope! I'm out.
Much much better bowl than that YAWNER last year.

Kudos to Dungy's rain and non-rain game plan. GREAT coach! Also a good point. Manning probably has more confidence in his blockers than Brunell does in his. Not sure whether thats the lines fault for having poor pass pro or Brunell's for not trusting them (likely both), but Brunells ave. yards per attempt this year were similar to Mannings yard per attempt from the playoffs, so I think its a lot of that same patience factor.
It helps immensely to have a defense.
dmek25 02-05-2007, 04:59 AM You don't exploit someone who lost their arm fighting for our way of life. That was disgusting.yeah, its really digusting actually hearing from someone that was really there. and not most of the senate, and administration, that has never even served for this wonderful country of ours, let alone fought for it. you have got to be kidding me
Back to the game, at least it was an entertaining Super Bowl. The first half was pretty wild with all the turnovers, the kickoff return, etc. Good to see Manning get that monkey off his back, he's not going to go down in history as the next Marino. I thought they should have split the MVP between the Colts' RBs but I don't have a problem with Manning getting it either.
Funny how even a Super Bowl thread takes us back to Brunell. Excuse me while I go kick some dirt on Barbaro.
SmootSmack 02-05-2007, 10:24 AM So now that Peyton has his ring, who is the best active QB not to have a Super Bowl win?
