Thanks to Mattyk, JoeCrisp, and all else responsible for maintaining the site. Since we're back on the path to the good ol days, I thought a good way to purge the nasty after taste of last year's disastrous 5-11 season would be to re-live some of the few positives from it. So feel free to contribute favorite moments from 2003. I'll start: 1. Preseason game against the Ravens: Ramsey hands off to Morton - pitchback to Ramsey who struggles to grip the ball - but when he finally does, he fires a 39 yarder over the outstreched arms of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and right into the arms of a waiting LC in the end zone. TD Washington Redskins! This was one of the few times last year we managed to pick up a blitz with 5 offensive linemen and one RB (Morton), and still get off a successful scoring play. cpayne5 07-07-2004, 01:52 PM Armstead's safety in the Atlanta game. Redskins_P 07-07-2004, 02:14 PM Opening game - Probably one of the most memorable of last year. Ramsey ducks the defender ( not sure who it was ) and throws the bomb to LC. Then to top it all off J.Hall making the game winning field goal. Jetskins beat the Jets. Thanks JW..glad to be here. yea that Gardner play was used 3 times last season - once to win the Seattle game as you pointed out, and then twice in the game against the Bears - once to Morton for a TD, and the other time Gardner threw to Hasselback for a TD that was ruled an incompletion. hurrykaine 07-07-2004, 02:22 PM That was an awesome play. Oh by the way welcome HurryKaine! Yea it sure was. Thanks for the welcome...as I said, I've been on for over a year, but just never signed up. At the time that flea-flicker took place, I thought it was gonna be a shadow of things to come - didn't realize it'd be one of the brightest spots of the entire season for Spurrier. That to me was the moment Coles became a true Redskin that I want here for a long time. Thanks s.smack - yea those Jetskins came up big in that one - Coles for stripping the defender (think it was Damien Robinson) and Randy Thomas for falling on the ball in the end zone and preventing a sure TD.
