Art Monk Denied Admission to the HoF

Due to requests for a new Monk thread to discuss Monk's denial, here goes! Vent.


I am trying to create a letter to the HoF selection committee.

Here is a list of the voters. Does anyone care enough about Monk to google these guys' emails so we can send a letter?

Irvin before Monk... that's just such a crime it's not even funny.

I really thought this was going to be the year! I thought Peter King had finally seen the light. I know of 940 reasons why Monk belongs in Canton!

What is particularly irksome is that ESPN's Skip Bayless and NFL Network's Adam Schefter both indicated that a primary reason why Monk would not be admitted is that he does not have many "memorable catches." I cannot believe that is actually a criterion for wideouts. Maybe Brandon Lloyd will get in (j/k).

All it takes to get in is one catch!

That's just such an insanely stupid reason to deny him and in addition it's a myth that only seems to be growing with these ignorant fools in the media.

But Art Monk has already proved beyond any doubt that he is number one as a player, a teammate, and as a man. If this is what the hall is about, they do not deserve someone with the character and virtue of Art Monk. **** them.
