As sad as this is, that is funny! firstdown 01-29-2007, 01:24 PM I always wonder if the horse in these races just run because they are told to or they actually have some sense that their in a race. BDBohnzie 01-29-2007, 01:26 PM You sure Dr. Vinnie Boombatz wasn't euthanized? I'd imagine the horse has some sort of clue what they are doing... If this had been any other horse, it would have been shipped to the glue factory the day after the accident at Pimlico. I have to imagine part of the reason to keep the horse alive was to build up a stock of its semen to sell... SmootSmack 01-29-2007, 01:29 PM I have to imagine part of the reason to keep the horse alive was to build up a stock of its semen to sell... There's no question they were doing that. Trying to breed the next Barbaro. RIP Riggo44 01-29-2007, 01:52 PM It's sad that Babaro couldn't make it. I was really hopping for a better ending. MTK 01-29-2007, 01:59 PM Damn that sucks, he just had too much to overcome. 12thMan 01-29-2007, 02:04 PM I think it really was a double edge sword for the owners: On one hand, contrary to what most are led to believe, they actually do care for the animal and his well being. But on the other hand, there is the business side of it. |
