Lito Sheppard's injury means that Walt Harris is now a pro bowler. This just endorses another great FO decision from the skins. 6 interceptions in the season and NFC defensive player of the month in November. Still, our corners all had great years so we didn't need that kind of production...

Congrats to Walt. This goes to show players can bounce back from having a bad year.

Walt harris was a complete stiff here. I'd be very happy to provide hotlinks to every post demandinng he be re-signed by the front office:

Now that I'm done with that, maybe we should all look closely at a Pro Bowl system that allows a nickel CB (not a starter) to make the Pro Bowl, when his own coaches have made the determination he isn't one of the top two CBs on his own team, much less in the league.

i wasnt one of the many that wanted to run harris out of here. he played decent last season, but was the whipping boy for many. by a show of hands, how many wish here still played for the skins?
I guess the crystal ball at Redskins Park needs shining up, because who really saw this coming??

My only question is, how could the guy be a bust one year, and Pro Bowl material the next? That is what bugs me more than anything else.

Brud you forgot all the links from people who were upset when he signed with the niners. here are those.

and the ones where people predicted he'd have a great year

Harris was a body for us. We replaced him with basically the same player in Wright. They are nearly identical. Had Harris been here he'd be on the chopping block as much as anyone else who played marginally for us this past year.

I don't remember anyone...anyone who was upset w/ Harris leaving. This is hindsight right now.

That system was what Snyder called "Vanilla" while it was here in DC.
It's hard to see Mike Nolan and Turner have a little success with that crappy team :(

Ok, he had 6 ints. but how many big plays did he give up? I think the number of ints. stand out and could cover up the bad. I did not watch him play so I really don't know.
