Dockery, because we can sign him now. Every other guy on that list, we have to wait til March 1st. That's a long time to get something done with Dock.
I would have preferred to have kept Dock off the list for that reason. But That Guy and Freddy threatened me with some pictures they took of me in an incriminating position...let me make this clear, I thought the cop was a prostitute

I would have said Clements, had Dock not been a choice.

Dockery and that's it. Or get some cheaper 2nd tier guys. Is it me, or does it seem a lot of the fans have taken into gasing up Redskins One right when free agency starts. Everyone thinks Nate Clemons is the savior. Isn't Buffalo going to try and keep him? I doubt they are just going to let him walk away and not get any compensation. Especially for a top NFL corner. They don't grow on trees. And if getting Clemons requires giving up picks then FORGET IT! Also there will be other teams with more cap room. So over paying for a corner going into his 7th year makes no sense. Fixing the defense may take more than one year and I don't have a problem with trying to draft guys and waiting it out. This team is in transition. It's going to take time. Nate Clemons will be a quick fix on an average to below average NFL team.

I want Dockery more than anyone on that list. I've already said it and I'll say it again: If we didn't gain a single player this offseason and just were HEALTHY next year, we'd be back in playoff contention.

I can agree with this, ASSUMING Gibbs continues to assert his philosophy on offense and ASSUMING G Williams figures out what the hell is wrong with our secondary.
Status quo personnel-wise wouldn't be TERRIBLE (wouldn't be ideal either). But status quo scheme-wise is absolutely not going to get it done.
We definitely need Dockery if we want to continue to enjoy a strong running attack. It's pissing me off that he's not signed, it should have happened by now. Every day that goes by without a deal, he's thinking more and more about free agency. I'm starting to think there is a greater than 50% chance he'll be gone, and it sickens me.

Dockery is the most important name on that list. If they don't get a deal done and he signs somewhere else in free agency, then the front office has some real issues.

I am not saying I want Redskin One there - I just have a feeling that it will be - I completely agree with you on going through the draft and building that way and adding a free agent or two as the final pieces. Unfortunately the FO believes in a different method. In addition since we have traded away most of our picks the only alternative seems to be the free agent market.
In my opinion it all comes down to having a good personelle department to find these gems in the rough like New England did in taking Asanate Samuel in the 4th round. Like I have said may times before we must get rid of the cancer and that cancer is Vinny Cerrato.

The other problem is actually keeping these good finds once their contracts run out. We seem to get rid of guys before they really have a chance to develope.

I think we signed him off rep without extensive film study first. Generally the older a TE is, the greater chance he broke into the league as a blocker, but this is clearly a poor generalization.
