Wizards vs. Suns.......Is Steve Nash the best player in the league?

Did anyone watch the Wizards vs. Suns last night? The Sun's pretty much blew the 'Zards outta the water. The 'Zards could not hit a shot to save their lives, and Steve Nash was playin outta his mind. I didn't think the Suns would be able to play that fast and that well the whole game, but they did, they're pretty unbelievable. After watching last night's game I pondered things.
1) Is Nash the best player in the league? I know he's gotten MVP the last two years, but MVP is based on what player does the most for his team. My brother is convinced he's the best player in the league, I say he's nasty, but not the best; he has a great supporting cast with Marion, Stoudamire, Barbosa, Jones, and Diaw. If LeBron had those guys, I'm not sure if that team would ever lose.
2) Will the Suns win the championship in the next 3 years? It's weird, they kinda remind me of the Colts with their high octane offense, and they're not a bad defensive team either. However, they take a lot, I mean a lot of 3-pointers. I think teams that live and die by the three have a disadvantage in the playoffs.

1. Steve Nash is a great, great player. No question about it. I've liked him since he smoked the Terps in the tournament while playing for Santa Clara a decade ago. People say he plays with great players like Diaw, Bell, Barbosa. But really how great were they (are they) without Nash? He definitely makes players around him better.

2. I can definitely see this. They could be like the Kentucky Wildcats though. One year it will all just click. But the West is fierce

Steve is not the best player in the league. He is just the perfect fit. The system that he's in with the suns is perfect fit for him and involve total team basketball.

What about Marion and Stoudemire, they're all stars without Nash.

Is Steve Nash the best player in the league? No

Does he make the players around him play better? Absolutely

While Nash is a great player, he's not the best in the league. Not with guys like Kobe and LeBron around. However, he has this uncanny ability to make players around him play up to their potential. Jason Kidd did this in New Jersey back in the day (while they didn't win, he was a vital part in the Nets going to the Finals 2 years in a row...essentially losing out because they had no defense for the big man).

I don't think its the system. He is a great all around player and imo the most fun player to watch in the nba. He would make almost any team a contender instantly. So, imo if i had to start a team he would be my 1st pick no question.

Yes he is the best player in the league. The Suns are going to have one hard series against Dallas on the way to a championship. IMO.
