I'm sick of all this "top-paid" player, BS. You don't deserve to be the top-paid player at your position, unless you are the best at your position -- Clements is not even in the top 3 at his position.

Ghetto - kind of makes you long for the days when we had Darrel Green. I remember seeing an article about Green and he said that he took less than what other teams offered him to resign with the Skins - in part because he loved being a Redskin and being part of the community. Not once did you hear Green say "I want to be the top paid player at my position". In my opinion Green was a top 3 corner in the NFL for a long part of his career.

I'd take 1 Tom Brady and 10 no-names over 1 sub-par QB and 10 good players. I think Belichick is a good coach, but I'm not sure what he would do without Brady.

No question. His team might look like the uh, um....Browns. No, but personell has ALOT to do w/ it and kudos to them for being great at personell & draft decisions.

Give him Mark Brunell and lets see.

The problem is the union. If you don't ask for top dollar, your union buddies often can't ask for it either.

Then you have a situation like the Boston Bruins where Ray Borque wouldn't ask for more money, and then when some other player would ask for more money than Borque (just to keep up with the market) the front office would say "What, you think you're better Borque? You think you mean more to this franchise than he does?" It's no surprise he had to go to Colorado to win a title
