Out of the four QBs that were left going into this past Sunday, if Grossman were to come out on top I would be sure that the End of Days was upon us. henry12portis26 01-23-2007, 11:44 AM Da Bears!!!!!!! I think the fact that Dilfer has a ring is much worse than if Rex gets one. GhettoDogAllStars 01-23-2007, 11:48 AM and further more Why do professional atheletes shamelessly deliver praise to Jesus every time they win a significant confrontation. I mean, do you really think the Lord gives a shit about first downs and red flag challenges? Is the Lord up there in the Big Ol' Sky starin' at his Big Ass 1080i Hi Def Flat Screen Plasma LCD HD TV that he "totally doesn't even know what that means but he wants it". What if there isn't a Lord after all. What if the Lord that Jim Irsay is referring to is Lord Helmet from Spaceballs. Well I would comb the desert and while we're talking about sand, do you remember that shit about "Footsteps"...well I guess Jesus, needs to update that shit to read...""My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I helped Jim Irsay and the Colts defeat the Patriots, you selfish bastard. . My Son." i'm surrounded by assholes Haha. That's funny, but I think the Lord would have 1080p -- not 1080i. ;) ArtMonkDrillz 01-23-2007, 11:53 AM I think the fact that Dilfer has a ring is much worse than if Rex gets one. At least Dilfer was fairly smart with the ball. Grossman still tries to throw it away when he's wrapped up or he forgets to bring it in close to his body and hold on to it with both hands. I just feel like when Grossman makes one good throw he feels like he can do no wrong and becomes very careless with his decisions. hail_2_da_skins 01-23-2007, 12:15 PM First of all, I hate the Colts. So my natural instinct is to root for the Bears. Realistically, the Bears are going to get mauled. The Colts get after the quarterback and Grossman is terrible under pressure. I envision three pick by Grossman and Manning kicking the monkey to the curb and having a big day. The only chance the Bears have is to create havoc on defense. I just don't see that happening for four quarters. Colt 35 Bears 10 GTripp0012 01-23-2007, 12:17 PM I was saying that about Grossman last week. Out of the four QBs that were left going into this past Sunday, if Grossman were to come out on top I would be sure that the End of Days was upon us.Winning in the playoffs tends to do little with QBs. No special reason, he's just one starter out of 22. Defense is half the game, and tends to control the tempo in the playoffs. Good offenses can be shut out entirely. The Bears defense was the best in the playoffs after the Ravens got knocked out. They should have been the favorite to go all the way at that point, but a lot of the major media outlets got wrapped up in the Saints story, and completely forgot the Bears were the better team. I have to think the Colts would be favored, but we are talking about the 3rd or 4th best team from the AFC going up against the class of the NFC. I expect the Bears to flat out control the game from the 2nd quarter on. gabe1984 01-23-2007, 12:41 PM The Ravens defense is good, but they are not even close to the Bears, IMO. The Bears defense is the most physical defense I've seen in a while. 226 yards passing, 93 yards rushing, 34 points, and 1 sack is your idea of a "nasty" defense? Get real. GhettoDogAllstars, did you not look at the rest of the stats I put up? I want you to write out all the stats I just posted, and then next to each of them write "is your idea of a 'nasty' defense? Get real." next to it, so you can see how stupid you sound. I am being real when I say this. Are you forgetting how the Patriots normally embarass the Colts during the playoffs because the Colts defense has been so soft? Well, guess what, that clearly didn't happen this year because their defense stepped up and helped the team do something they have not been able to do before. I'm also being quite real when I say that they've held many good players in the league such as Larry Johnson, Trent Green, Jamal Lewis, Steve McNair, Corey Dillion, and Lawrence Maroney to sub par games. You get real. GhettoDogAllStars 01-23-2007, 01:09 PM GhettoDogAllstars, did you not look at the rest of the stats I put up? You get real. How convenient that the stats you want to use are the oldest. Look at what they did most recently, please. The score was 28 to 3 against a mediocre Pats offense. That's not good. How is a defense "stepping up" when they give up 34 points to a mediocre offense? None of those teams you mentioned have top 10 offenses. I'm not saying the Bears do. I'm just saying those stats are garbage, and so is your argument. |
