Bye bye Manboobs. Cowboys fans probably can't chew gum and breathe right now. I hope that they sign Norv...

Its a sad day in the traveled story of the NFC East. So many great games against the Giants back in the day. I'm glad he's gone from the Cowboys, but as a coach he was good. He made New England, not Belichick.

when I heard norv was a candidate, I couldn't believe it. But then I thought about it, JJ might've really liked him when he was there. You would think that the word on norv is good o-coordinator but not head coach.
Norv has worked for the other 2 most meddlesome owners - The Danny & Al Davis. Working for Jones would give him the trifecta!
It would also make for good theater, which JJ seems to thrive on. I would be happy if Norv coached there, but I don't want to jinx us - it may be that the 3rd time's a charm. (norv's only had 2 heach coach jobs right?)

Could you imagine if Norv was hired. He'd be the only guy in history to be able to say he was a head coach under Dan Snyder, Al Davis, and Jerry Jones. He could write a book about that.

I'm a little peeved that Parcells had to make this announcement today. This day should have been about the Colts and Bears. Peyton, Dungy, Lovie. But instead it's been all about Parcells. He could have waited another day in my opinion.

Interesting though that he said "retiring from coaching" To me that says he's definitely coming back as a GM or team president somewhere. I'll throw out one possibility-Tampa Bay,

To be honest. I don't think this is great news at all. There are a lot of high quality coaches out there who could have the Cowboys winning year in and year out. They have a team with solid players on there to inherit. But, if this coming season turns out to be a stinker for both New York and Dallas, this might be our best chance at winning the division.

The Colts and Bears have 2 weeks to hype their matchup. Today is a good day, since it is day 1 of 14 until we reach the SB. Maybe he could have waited until after the SB, but better than announcing it yesterday or even a say or two before Championship Sunday.

Well I wasn't even thinking so much of hyping their upcoming matchup. More so celebrating their big wins.

So how soon until someone starts a Parcells to succeed Gibbs rumor?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing today, the announcement kinda stole the Bears and Colts thunder. Damn that Pats-Colts game was great.
