Redskinhog1963 01-22-2007, 12:18 AM I hate to say it, but he has really turned into such a tool.
He just acted like a total and complete a$$hole during the after game interviews.at least he and sean payton get to coach in the probowl in sunny hawaii in 3 weeks.
skinsfan69 01-22-2007, 12:32 AM Great game totally. What was up with dickhead Belichek's tude? What a jerk.
I missed it. What did he do?
skinsfan69 01-22-2007, 12:34 AM He had the most sour look, which is saying a lot by his standards and his look made it very clear, he wanted no part of that interview. Usually, the losing coach will throw a congrats out (which he did do later) and just be classy in defeat, but not him.
He shook hands with Dungy and wished him well. That was a tough loss so I'm sure no coach would be in the mood to talk to reporters.
Pocket$ $traight 01-22-2007, 12:35 AM I missed it. What did he do?
I guess he didn't thank the fans outside of the team bus and offer them autographs the next time the Pats are in town?
skinsfan69 01-22-2007, 12:36 AM What is he supposed to do. Talk about how they "are all in it together" and how "he wouldn't want to be with a better group of guys?" Winners (Belicek, MJ, Bird, Magic) don't take losing very well that is why they don't lose very often. Wilcotts didn't exactly ask the greatest questions either.
They fought their guts out!

And they are super smart!

You people, how quick we are to turn on a man that has brought such great happiness to our sporting life's. Gibbs may give cliched answers at his press conferences, but at least he's classy, win or lose (and there were way too many "or lose" moments this season, admittedly)! It's amazing how today's society turns on people so quickly, it is what it is, I guess. If we win again next season, he'll be the greatest coach ever again to you folks!
Gmanc711 01-22-2007, 01:41 AM Bellicheck is someone I really really dont like, and I almost root against the Pats just because of him. I like an awful lot of players on that team, but Bellicheck just really chapps my ass. But at the same time, I get really mad at Gibbs for not being more pissed after losses. Bellicheck just seems like a bitter guy to me overall, even in winning.
On the game, what a classic. One of the best I have ever seen without a doubt.

Um we all still think Gibbs is an amazing coach. But we also like making fun of his interviews....

I have not turned on him, but after 6-10 and 5-11 seasons (along with several personnel blunders) he is certainly begging for some criticism. Also, from many of the stories that came out it is obvious that he isn't the same guy that won 3 Super Bowls. Do I think he is incapapble of winning another, no but they will need a flawless offseason to get there.
The "blind loyalty" that you have displayed is a bigger problem than some ribbing of our coach. If fans don't voice their concerns vocally and with their wallet then the Redskins will continue to be number one in market cap and near the bottom in wins.
