Does anyone know when Darrell is eligible for the HOF?

I would think he would be a first ballot guy. Do you?

It will take them about 3 seconds to vote in #28.

I think he is eligible next year.

My buddy (Giants Fan) thinks he is a first Ballot HOFer. You don't usually hear that kind of talk from Rival fans. I am not sure if he is first ballot or not, but he belongs in the hall.

I cannot imagine that he would not be a first balloter. I mean he was the best CB in the league during his prime. Add the fastest man wins and he has the aura too. I think that is the one thing missing from Monk. He never had an aura because he was so quiet. Well except to Skins fans.

There are some who will say he played for 20 years, has only 54 INTs and went to the pro-bowl just 7 times.

He does have some "trademark" plays:
Chasing down Dorsett.
Punt return hurdle for TD in the playoffs.

Green is very open and expressive unlike Monk.

Plus people hear about Green because of his charity too.

He should make it first ballot. He was a phenomenal player. Plus people argue that as the years go by Monk's numbers look less impressive (I don't agree but whatever) I don't think you can make the argument that as the years go by Green's career looks less impressive.

Its too bad he was the face of the skins when they sucked...I wish he could have finished his career on a high note.
