Man, we are going stir crazy here in TX! Going on three days now where we have had nothing but freezing rain, snow, and sleet! You can't go anywhere, the roads are closed and they just don't have the equipment to handle this stuff. F...this crazy weather! Global Warming my ass!

I have heard that if/when the ice caps melt, the Hudson river in NY will freeze over every year. Doesn't make much sense, if the globe is warming. However, the explanation is that the cold arctic waters are a major contributor to the gulf stream (the warm water stream which traverses the globe). If the ice caps melt, the gulf stream will cease and many places which rely on the gulf stream for warm weather will actually get (much) colder.

Somebody please correct me, if I am wrong.

It has been snowing lately in the Seattle and the roads area disaster. I think the entire county has maybe one plow going around. I'm glad I can work from home and I don't have to tackle the snowy streets of King County.

That's one theory. I have read a bunch and come to the conclusion that no matter what the media would like you to believe the science community as a whole is not very certain what is happening and what will happen. There is a lot of disagreement even among those who are big time global warming alarmists (not the right word but i couldn't think of the right one).

Those pictures are amazing, especially the very last one. I really hope those storms don't make their way to the east coast anytime soon.
