:woot: I have recruited a new football fan and even more she is a redskins fan.

Thank you, thank you!!!:)

My wife is now a full fledged REDSKINS FAN!!!!

At first it was difficult! Don't get me wrong, it was hard. For Years it was:
"football is stupid" or There are 2 many rules to understand".

Last season I took her to her very first game. When it was over she told me that " I kind of understand it now"!!

Still it took more work. She was on the verge of becoming a "spectator". Now I feel a spectator is someone who might watch a game here and there but doesn't really follow any particular team.

She was invited to the superbowl party and she accepted. She watched the game but really didn't participate in any discussions.

And things got better from there...

This season she was off of work for the first 10 games of the season and I knew this was my chance. She watched with me opening day and actually wore a Skins jersey during the game. 2 weeks later she went with me To a sports bar to watch the game. By the end of the season she was actually calling holding penalties!!!!!!!

I still wasn't sure if she was fan of the sport or she was just going because I wanted to go. And then something happened last saturday night that changed everything....

We were watching Colts at Ravens. I had Ravens and she picked the Colts. I Was talikng to the TV during the game after Indy kicked there second FG after a turnover and I tried to pick on her and I said

" Cant win just kicking FG's hahahahh!!!!!"

She just looks at me and with a little grim she says, " CAnt win with turnovers either!!"

I was Flabbergasted!!! She is a fast learner and She tells everybody she is a REDSKINS fan!!!!

Let me hear and AMEN!!

She says she wants to go to Fedex for the draft day party! I'll bet in 5 years she will be spouting off stats and bitching about some bullshit trade that Washington has just pulled off.

So I should say that there is hope out there gentlemen!! If you have a wife that was like mine don't give up hope. There are always oppurtunities to teach them a little bit here and there and before you know it, They are hooked.

Praise the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Hallelujah. I must say though, it took you long enough. I always thought that the wedding ring was contingent upon love of football, preferably Redskins football.

In any case, congrats...now you will have at least your wife to hi-five on TD celebrations.

hahaha

the girl ive been dating for 3 years is clueless... she just sits with me during the game waiting for it to end. She says she's a redskins fan... but probably couldn't name more then 5 players.

I think it's time I started looking else where. (joking...........sorta)

When my wife and I first got married, she was "technically" a cowboys fan...I have broke her of that...thank goodness. She was from north of Dallas, and only knew them...I showed her the error of her ways.

However, she is now a Denver fan, which I don't mind, but she does pull for the Skins.

My wife also says the same thing about football. This year, she actually watched a few games with me, although she fell asleep on my lap most of the time. She does watch Super Bowls though and says she'll like the Redskins because I do. (She's from NY and also claims she likes the Giants)

Maybe I should take her to a game like you did...it COULD work. :)

My wife now gets more agitated at the Skins than I do. It's kinda funny. And she refuses to wear her LaVar jersey. God Bless Women Football Fans.
