I think whoever wins the Pats Chargers game wins it all. As for the ESPN rant I'm staying out of that
can,t say i would argue this point either.....

I agree. If we are to crown 'teams of the decade' I don't know who else you could pick for the 2000's but New England. In the 90's it was the Cowboys, in the 80's it was the Niners.
Now, in my mind, if you win 3 Super Bowls in any one decade, you deserve the team of the decade title. Especially if no other team did it. If a team wins two Super Bowls, that's certainly worthy of note, but IMO, it doesn't warrant "Team of the Decade."
Too bad that doesn't include the Redskins of the 80's because they went to three and won two -- if it weren't for that damned Super Bowl 18 ... ARGGGH! We'd have been right up there with the 49ers as "Team of the Decade."
yeah that freaking superbowl still burns in the back of my mind today...
all those missed tackles ,kind of reminded me of the defense of this year.

I guess they should have been talking about the Skins, Okland, Dolpins or one of the other teams not in the Playoffs. The pats have one 3 of the last 4 SB's and keep winning even without the players you mentioned. Brady as bad as he looked yesterday when it came crunch time he did what was needed to win, Enough said about him. They are the teams in the playoffs and the ESPN guys where talking about who they thought would win the games given the good and bad about all 8 teams left in the playoffs. Its their jobs.

ESPN is both a blessing and a curse for sports fans. They can be very annoying yet very informative at the same time. They definitely have that Northeast liberal vibe though, that can be quite annoying.
You're right, but think how much WORSE it would be if Olberman still worked there. :tongue

It happen because those teams are winning. Maybe sometime this century if we start winning espn will start talking up the skins. Until then lets stop crying about the other teams, and lets hope the skins will start running their team like a professional football team and not a fantasy team. Then espn will talk about the skins all the time.

I think that if the Redskins were consistently good then ESPN would fall in love with them too. When I hear them continuously compliment teams and coaches it just makes me wish they were talking about the skins. If anything it just gets fans from all over the country more fired up about their own team, and in our case depressed...:(
