Davy-- you can tell Lavar that. But really think about why does one really need an agent. Tell them what you want and you can always bargin with them instead of adding a middle man. But thats just me. I would be happy making the a million or so a year. BTW when and how did agents get involved anyway.

The Post says Taylor is close to getting an agent, and that it may be Rosenhaus (sp?) again. What is up with that? What an odd situation...

Still, just get somebody and get signed.

PS I'll negotiate for ya if you want, Sean. I'll only charge 2%, and I promise to actually read the contract before we sign, unlike some agents we know! I may not get the best deal, but you'll get to keep so much more of your money with me as your agent that it's worth it. Oh, and I have a good relationship with Danny Snyder. We've never disagreed and we've never argued (we've never met, but you can't have everything). :D

if he did resign with Rosenhaus, I know the situation would further confuse the heck out of me. This is a pretty weird situation but hopefully it'll all work out in the end. Is Mato on good terms with the team? I vaguelly remember him being on a short list a while back of agents the redskins were hoping Taylor would sign with.

so it says he might end up getting Rosenhaus back as his agent, thats interesting. I wonder what happened to begin with that made him get rid of Rosenhaus.

well taylor's not much of a talker i guess... no one is really too sure of why he fired his agent to begin with.

agents are involved for the same reason lawyers are, to protect their client's interests, to know how things work (ie market values), and the best way to structure the contracts. I assume agents would also work on getting promotions, sponsorships, and appearances, and knowing how much to ask.

and like lawyers, the world would be better if they weren't needed, but...
