I hate the Ravens fans but I like their team. They are built very well, have a good GM and they BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT.

Except of course for starters Steve McNair, Derrick Mason, Samari Rolle, Keydrick Vincent, Trevor Pryce, Kelly Gregg...

but I guess you're probably talking about the reserves aren't you?

No. I'm talking about all of these guys who were pro bowlers or soon will be. E. Hartwell was drafted but left for Atl. McNair was the missing piece. Give these guys credit. They may screw up on the QB but they draft as well as anyone.

Heap
R. Lewis
Ogden
Ngata
Suggs
J. Lewis
A. Thomas
C. McAlister
E. Reed
Landry....rookie safety who was drafted and took over for Demps
Scott. Signed as a free agent LB in 01 and is now playing better than R. Lewis

How would I feel if the Ravens won the Super Bowl ? I don't know, pissed and angry come to mind. I personally hate the Ravens. Why ? Because i hate the fact that the team moved from Cleveland and changed the name but still held onto Cleveland Browns records. They trotted out Jim Brown for a parade once, but I thought they were their own entity ? However, the city of Cleveland had to get an expansion team and start from scratch. I feel bad for every Browns fan because they should've enjoyed that Super Bowl, not the teamless losers in B-More ! When they won that first Bowl everyone I knew in baltimore called me, that entire summer I caught shit. It was cool because I'd shut them up by telling them that they should call someone in Cleveland and apologize because it should be them who are celebrating. These mindless pricks actually believe that the team wouldn't have been built the same way if they had stayed in Cleveland ? FUCKING SERIOUSLY ????? Ozzie Newsome their GM, guess what HE'S A FUCKING FORMER BROWN !!!!! I hated them, they acted like Crab and Oooooos country was what turned that franchise around ! They STILL would have made the same personnell moves, still would've drafted the same. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH I HATE THE RAVENS !!!!! I hate their colors, I hate their merchandise, I HATE THE FACT THAT THERE IS RAVENS SHIT ALL OVER BELTSVILLE !!!!!! I used to live in Landover, move to Beltsville and I have to soil my hands sifting through Ravens stuff to get to the merchandise of my favorite team, The Washington Redskins.

However, there is one thing that I hate more than the Ravens, and their fans. But those who call themselves Skins fans, AND RAVENS FANS !!!! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME ?????? I MEAN IS THERE NO END TO THE LUNACY ???? I respect the team, the way they are built is marvelous. They do in fact draft well, I think Newsome is one of the best GM's in the league right now. There defense is stout, and they keep their players together ! Besides all of that,... FUCK THE RAVENS !!!!

There are three things I hate in this world

The Cowboys,
The Ravens, and
Chitterlings Chittlin's whatever you call them !!!!! Never ate them but they fucking stink ! HA, thought i was going to say something about football. I'm sorry I'm sorry the last one is..................................

PULSE - THAT MOVIE FUCKING SUCKED BALLS, I WASTED A NETFLIX SELECTION ON THAT SHIT !!!!!

I think it's hard for any Skins fan that doesn't live in or around Baltimore or frequently associates with people from there to understand how miserable ravens fans can be. Like I said before, I used to root for the ravens, I went to a Monday night game up there and had fun, and I was happy that a team from Maryland was able to win the SB (Bohnzie mocked me for it at the time, and now I know he was right) but that was before I knew what would happen to their fan base.
Some of my best friends from college are ravens fans and, for the most, I feel like I can't have serious football conversations with them because they always try to turn it into some pissing contest or whatever. They don't even acknowledge the fact that when we were kids (being that were all in our early/mid 20s) they didn't even have a home team to root for.
For some reason they were actually raised to hate the Skins, which really makes no sense to me at all. Peter Angelos had been the primary reason that my birthplace didn't have a baseball team but I wasn't raised to hate the O's because of that. And at the same time, my friends from B'more like the Wizards and the Caps, but they hate the Skins because they're so fickle and so "Charm City-centric" that they can't see how hypocritcal they act. It really grates on my nerves and I don't know if I could sit through watching them in the super bowl.

I think this is a great thread! I hate those losers, and I know exactly why they root so hard for the Skins to lose. It's because these guys are ex-Skins fans! They feel so bad about it subconsciously that it breeds an irrational hatred of the Skins. Seriously, my question is, if you are over the age of 20, who did you like before the Ravens? Did you not watch football? Did you not have a team? Did you root for Indy? In many cases you had people loving themselves some Skins while we were winning superbowls, then jumping ship just in time for the 2000 season. You can like whoever you want to like, but you will never understand what it feels like to root for one team your whole life - the same team your father, uncles, and grandfather rooted for. So enjoy your little superbowl, and if you win this year enjoy that too. But Ravens fans as fans can't look me in the eye, and unless they were born after 1996, never will be able to.

I hate the Ravens with every fiber of my being, primarily because they are the product of Art modell's screw-job to the city of Cleveland and because I can't stand Brian Billick.

Nevertheless, I can't entirely buy the the idea that the Ravens' base is made up mostly of ex-Redskins fans. I'm almost 40, and most of the Ravens fans I know had some tie to the area and were Colts fans when they were kids. They may have thrown some tepid support behind the Skins when the Colts left, but they always wanted a team of their own again.

I hate the Ravens, too. However, the best defense I heard from one Ravens fan was that they turned on Washington during the Steve Spurrier era cause they hated Snyder. Now, I don't think it's okay to sell your favorite team out just cause some new one comes around, but Snyder pushing people away from the Skins is something I can certainly understand. He's done it to me a little bit.

Anyway, I have adopted the Saints as a favorite team of mine because I lived in New Orleans. Now, I am still WAY more of a Skins fan than Saints, but I'm pulling for them a lot more recently. I was choked up when they reopened the dome.

Also, my parents moved to South Carolina last year. It just made me hate the Panthers about 10x more than I already did. The only difference now is that I like Steve Smith. I hate Jake Delhomme so much more now that I've seen his inconsistent ass play.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is this: I don't see how anyone can turn on a team they've grown up loving. I couldn't make the Skins even my second favorite team if my life depended on it. I'm not saying they weren't real fans before, cause I can understand Snyder pushing people away, but it's not something I could ever do.

That's how I see it too. Most of my friends just idn't have a local team to root for when we were kids. They usually say they liked some random team that was good at the time (ie, the 49ers, Raiders, Chicago, etc.) and that they jumped on the purple :( bandwagon when it came to town.

If the Ravens win the Super Bowl Brian Billick will get a contract extension.

Actually, I hope the Cowpukes do win it all. I hope the Eagles or Giants don't make a miraculous run.

Parcells then retires, and they become pushovers for a decade like us.

 ..... No You Didnt!!! I cant believe my eyes! Shame, shame, shame on you. Look what this season has done to you. Its made you unable to have rational thoughts. My friend please have 2-3 shots of jager and a few beers and re-think that.:drink
