See, I agree with SouperMeister and the rest. Unless they played a "Little Giants"-like game full of trickery, I would even go so far as to say the third stringers for an NFL team would beat the best college team.

The annexation of Puerto Rico!

I think the best college team would lose by approx 40 points to the worst NFL team. Even the bad players on Detroit were studs in college. I don't even think it'd be close in any way.

There is no way a college team could ever beat a pro team. The best college team has what maybe 15 pro level players on the entire team. a pro team has 52 pro level players on the team and thats the difference, a pro team is full of professional level players while a college team is not. It that last filter that makes all the difference.

First of all, you must understand this. College teams only get 20 or 30 hous a week to practice. That includes on field practice as well as film room and meetings. Pros don't have those kinds of restrictions. College players have to go to class. Pros don't. Football is their JOB. Not to mention the speed of the players overall. The coaching is on a higher level as well. Why do you think rookie QBs struggle? They are seeing defenses that they have NEVER seen before. Last but certainly not least, pros are GROWN ASS MEN. This ain't basketball! A college team could never beat an NFL team. Not even on it's worst day!

Just had a buddy IM me and say that the Skins would lose to OSU. Of course, that's the most insane thing I've ever heard anyone say and I know we've had discussions about it in other threads, but wanted to go ahead and start one of it's own.

I told him that the best NCAA team on it's best day could not beat the worst NFL team on it's worst day.

Anyone have any ideas to the contrary?

Sorry, I didn't read all posts, but you have to remember this, even the worst NFL team has some of the best college prospects, while the best college teams have some of the best high school talent, and plenty of players that will never dawn an NFL jersey.
So in short, Ohio State could not beat the Cardinals, or the Raiders.

Lets just look at it this way, Reggie Bush was unbelievable in college and sure hes a play maker in the NFL but look how long it took him to start making those plays in the season, no way any college team could compete in the NFL the levels are so drastically different.

Very true, look at all of them, Vince Young etc...they all play to a lower level.
