As far as Snyder goes, didn't he do exactly what we were all screaming for him to do: Take his hands off, and leave it to the people who know football ?
He's listening to Gibbs, and doing everything Gibbs says.
Exactly! I suspect that deep down a lot of this animosity toward Snyder is redirected because people are still hesitant to unload on Gibbs. Snyder may be guilty of overpaying, but he's only going out and getting the players Gibbs & Co. are telling him to get. Otherwise, for the last three years here's done nothing but set back and let Gibbs, as head coach, president, and de fecto GM, run the team.
Gibbs II = 21-27, one wild card playoff appearance and two losing seasons.

Like it or not here is my take on the Skins .You're not a bad team the Betts fumble was more of a good hit than Betts fualt..helmet on the ball is a very hard thing to stop.1 or 2 free agents and you're in business Gibbs is a good coach and giving cambell a whole year will mean alot. You had some injuries ...all teams do but that's just the luck of the game ,wholesale changes aren't needed IMHO.:food-smil
Tom Coughlin needs to get laid. He's a cranky old bastard.

Overpaying is creating problems as well though. Both in terms of the cap and guys feeling added pressure with these monster contracts.

At what point do we realize that we need an entirely different approach? Every year we go out and win the superbowl in the offseason. No GM and ridiculous overspending has gotten us nada for years. No other teams operate without a GM, and no one has the reputation we do for throwing waaaaay to much money at mediocre free agents. Sure a few have worked out since Gibbs came back, but the massive busts are pretty darn glaring too. To me the definition of insanity is repeating the same unsuccessful behavior and expecting different results.
Gibbs won three superbowls with many no name players and a great GM. And that was in an era WITHOUT a salary cap!! Now he comes back and pretends he knows what he is doing in the personnel department? In his press conferences Gibbs always tells the media/fans to "put it on me," and that "it's my responsibility." Well I'm gonna do just that. GET IT TOGETHER JOE! THIS IS YOUR DOING! FIX IT! We've made the playoffs twice in the last 15 friggin years!!

Oh yeah, and another thing about the absurd spending- it is SOOO not the route that works in today's NFL. When a player on the Steelers or Patriots tries to hardball the team for a large contract they are almost always told to take a hike. And they have won 4 outta the last 5 superbowls combined. Oh yeah, they have GM's too. They always say today's NFL is a copycat league. WAKE UP REDSKINS!
