Are we grading potential or his actual play?
I think he has alot of potential but in my eyes, his actual play is only worthy of a D.

We're not grading on potential, we're grading on performance. jsarno 12-31-2006, 10:19 PM Are we grading potential or his actual play? A little low for me, but at least you're not afraid to tell it like you see it. dgack 12-31-2006, 11:08 PM Hey, Dgak...can you run those numbers for Vince Young, T. Romo, and Rivers over the same seven games? For the sake of apples-to-apples, I'll compare them for their first 7 NFL starts, rather than over the same 7 weeks in the NFL (wasn't sure if that's what you were asking or not). In order, best to worst (note, does not include final stats for week 16 games) T.Romo First 7 Starts Week 7 vs Carolina: 86.6 Week 8 vs Washington: 109.0 Week 9 vs Arizona: 126.8 Week 10 vs Indianapolis: 89.5 Week 11 vs Tampa: 148.9 Week 12 vs Giants: 58.1 Week 13 vs New Orleans: 58.8 Season stats: 197-305 (64.6%), 2582yd, 17TD, 12INT, 93.5 rating P.Rivers First 7 Starts Week 1 vs Oakland: 133.9 Week 2 vs Tennessee: 99.1 Week 3 vs Baltimore: 75.0 Week 4 vs Pittsburgh: 90.1 Week 5 vs San Fran: 116.8 Week 6 vs Kansas City: 82.1 Week 7 vs St. Louis: 108.2 Season stats: 265-436 (60.8%), 3157yd, 20TD, 8INT, 90.5 rating V.Young First 7 Starts Week 4 vs Dallas: 47.3 Week 5 vs Indianapolis: 34.4 Week 6 vs Washington: 85.6 Week 7 vs Houston: 87.4 Week 8 vs Jacksonville: 30.2 Week 9 vs Baltimore: 63.9 Week 10 vs Philadelphia: 66.7 Season stats: 169-321 (52.6%), 1972yd, 12TD, 11INT, 69.7 rating He finished better than Vince Young. Romo started off on fire but has pretty much imploded as the season progressed. Rivers has been consistently good, though I wouldn't call his play spectacular, and he has the luxury of the best and most durable player in the league lining up at RB. ncskinsfanec 12-31-2006, 11:14 PM We're not grading on potential, we're grading on performance. I say B for performance. He added some new life to the team once he got in there. It was painful to watch the offense dink and dunk it with the over-the-hill Brunell, Campbell's play was very refreshing to see. dgack 12-31-2006, 11:20 PM Are we grading potential or his actual play? Just for shits and giggles, and to put this into perspective a little bit, here are the QB ratings (through 15 games, so it doesnt even get Jason's best game) of QB's in the neighborhood of Jason's final rating: Jake Delhomme: 79.4 Byron Leftwich: 79.0 Rex Grossman: 77.8 Jon Kitna: 77.6 Daunte Culpepper: 77.0 Eli Manning: 77.0 Jason Campbell: 76.5 Seneca Wallace: 76.2 Alex Smith: 75.2 Michael Vick: 74.9 Trent Green: 74.6 Matt Hasselbeck: 74.5 Ben Roethisberger: 74.0 Matt Leinart: 74.0 Brett Favre: 72.9 Brooks Bollinger: 72.9 Charlie Frye: 72.0 Brad Johnson: 71.9 Jake Plummer: 70.5 Vince Young: 69.7 Drew Bledsoe: 69.2 Joey Harrington: 68.2 jsarno 01-01-2007, 12:32 AM Just for shits and giggles, and to put this into perspective a little bit, here are the QB ratings (through 15 games, so it doesnt even get Jason's best game) of QB's in the neighborhood of Jason's final rating: Jake Delhomme: 79.4 Byron Leftwich: 79.0 Rex Grossman: 77.8 Jon Kitna: 77.6 Daunte Culpepper: 77.0 Eli Manning: 77.0 Jason Campbell: 76.5 Seneca Wallace: 76.2 Alex Smith: 75.2 Michael Vick: 74.9 Trent Green: 74.6 Matt Hasselbeck: 74.5 Ben Roethisberger: 74.0 Matt Leinart: 74.0 Brett Favre: 72.9 Brooks Bollinger: 72.9 Charlie Frye: 72.0 Brad Johnson: 71.9 Jake Plummer: 70.5 Vince Young: 69.7 Drew Bledsoe: 69.2 Joey Harrington: 68.2 Why campbell doesn't get publicity is beyond me. I think next year could actually be special, I have complete faith in Gibbs to turn things back around again. You saw how things got turned around after the 6-10 season in '04. Expect a similiar turnaround next season! jsarno 01-01-2007, 12:47 AM They'll notice him next year when we're leading the NFC East!
