RedskinRat 07-02-2004, 05:25 PM Did anyone else read the survey that was done on Eagles fanbase? Apparently 70% have had sex in the shower, the other 30% haven't been to jail yet. Come on, it's Friday what do you want? OK, I'll log off. Big C 07-02-2004, 05:30 PM thanks for not making me ask u to leave skinsfanthru&thru 07-05-2004, 04:42 PM does anyone with insider know if they say anything about Taylor or Cooley in their impact rookies reports? SmootSmack 07-05-2004, 04:48 PM All I see is impact offensive rookies from Insider (Courtesy Scouts Inc.) and yes they mention Cooley "Cooley doesn't dominate as a blocker or receiver, but he is a sound route-runner who consistently finds ways to get open. Cooley rarely drops passes that he should catch. He also has experience lining up in the backfield, making him an excellent fit for Redskins' head coach Joe Gibbs' offense. Gibbs likes to use his receiving tight ends like H-Backs, and Washington will move Cooley around in an effort to create favorable matchups. Although he probably won't start, the Redskins lack an upper echelon tight end, so Cooley should see plenty of playing time." skinsfanthru&thru 07-06-2004, 12:59 AM kewl, thanks smootsmack. I'd asked about both cuz I'd seen a link for both offensive and defensive impact rookies, but maybe its not there anymore. SmootSmack 07-06-2004, 01:43 AM I stand corrected. You're right, skinsfan. There is a section on potential defensive rookies of the year. Sean Taylor, FS, Washington Redskins Reasons it could happen: There are very few things Taylor can't do. He shows great range, has the size to play close to the line of scrimmage in short-yardage situations and the speed to cover receivers on an island. Taylor is also a playmaker with excellent ball skills and is a threat to make something happen after every interception. Reasons it may not happen: Taylor is the most-physically-gifted player in this group but there are a couple of factors that could prevent him from having a strong first season. There is some concern that Taylor, who left school a year early, will hold out and miss part or all of training camp. The second reason is the Redskins' lack of a pass rush. While new defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is expected to send his talented linebackers after quarterbacks, Washington finished 27th in the league in sacks last year. If quarterbacks frequently get enough time to find open receivers, Taylor won't have many opportunities to make the big play. skinsfanthru&thru 07-06-2004, 03:19 AM :biggthump thankx a lot for getting that info smootsmack. MTK 07-06-2004, 11:00 AM If he misses all of camp it would be a complete disaster, I don't even want to think of that as a possibility. |
