He's right, but he's not the one who should be saying it.

The truth hurts. Probaboly shouldnt have said it, but I'm not mad at him for saying it. It's pretty much common knowledge; so I dont think he meant to say "we need to get this guy out of here".

The only thing wrong with what he said was that he didn't say, "and we really need him back next year, because look at how we did when he was out of the lineup".

Just because Carlos played like ass this year doesn't change the facts about Springs' contract and situation as he explained them. You also can't tell from that text what his tone or context was in saying that.

the players will be the first ones to tell you its a business. its definitely not good business to talk about a fellow employee. now what would rogers say if someone in redskins management said to him, " since thats how you feel, you have pretty much had a sub par season, how about restructuring, or will have to break in a new guy"

I also didn't like the shot at getting paid millions and only playing a few games. Carlos doesn't have any right to be speaking about team mates in any way. He is only a 2nd year guy and got beat more than a drum at a montley crew concert. He needs to keep his mouth shut.

I agree.......It's not his place to discuss terms of another player's contract with the media. Players contracts, and their terms should be left to the FO. Whether he's right or wrong is a non issue, it's just that some things are better left unsaid.

Didn't Motley Crews drummer loose an arm and played with one?

Irks me a little but it's not like he really talked any smack. It could be interpreted that he meant that anybody outside of a perenial pro-bowler in his prime needs to restructure when their cap num gets to a certain point. I would bet it is even talked about casually amongst the players. Not much to see here to me.

Talking smack would be like Carlos saying Springs is an injured overrated corner that is paid much more than he's worth, and that Carlos can handle the #1 job anyways. I don't really look at it as smack talk, he's just pointing out the obvious. That said it's gonna make him look bad because he's not the one that should be worrying about it.
