Yes No skinsfanthru&thru 07-01-2004, 02:15 AM if I'm not mistaken it's his first brush with the law and it was only a misdemeanor right? I think he is talented enough to help our team and everyone does atleast one dumb thing in their life, so I think they should cut the guy some slack, but if something happens again he's gone with no hesitation. rome108 07-01-2004, 02:39 AM "Use common sense and don't embarrass the Redskins" Those are Joe Gibbs' only rules. I think Ware violated both of them. :nono: huntz 07-01-2004, 04:47 AM Gotta give him a little break. It probably is his first arrest and it is a misdemeanor so wait and see what happens and how he does in camp. Hey, he's going to have enough problems making the team at TE with all the talent they've brought in the offseason. :party-smi NM Redskin 07-01-2004, 04:52 AM I’ll give the guy the benefit of the doubt, tell the facts come out, police officers in downtown bar areas know that it pretty darn easy to arrest someone for drunk and disorderly, because everyone is pretty much drinking and it’s your word against an officer. It will be interesting to see if Gibbs is the kind of coach that will use an incident like this to send a message to the players? BrudLee 07-01-2004, 08:23 AM And on the same day in Miami, TE Randy McMichael was arrested for hitting his pregnant wife. Ware screwed up, but with the oft-stated depth at TE, he had a good chance at getting cut anyway. Let's not make too big a deal about his mistake, though. The next day, Jaguars guard Chris Naeole needed to be subdued with a Taser in an alcohol related disturbance. Though details about Ware's arrest have been sparse, there is no sign he destroyed property, injured anyone, or damaged anything but his reputation. Daseal 07-01-2004, 08:51 AM Drunk and disorderly isn't exactly much of a charge, and isn't there some sort of saying in this country, innocent until proven guilty? Think so! Redskins_P 07-01-2004, 10:07 AM Cut him......pick up Michael Ricks. That Guy 07-01-2004, 10:18 AM I don't think it'd matter, from what i've read, his blocking is average, and there's a lot of TEs on our list that are average blockers that don't get arrested. I don't really think its a big deal, but Gibbs could really use it to prove a point. NASCAR often uses a couple small infractions with huge penalties right after they change a rule, and the method tends to work very well. |
