I remember my parents dragging me to see it when I was a little kid, and thinking, "this is the most boring movie ever made!" I watched it again not too long ago, and I realized what a great film it was. It's one of those sports movies that transcends sports and speaks on a higher level about the human condition. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it-- but only if your attention span exceeds that of a five-year-old! skinsfanthru&thru 07-04-2004, 12:07 AM Chariots of Fire was a popular movie in the early 80s. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it-- but only if your attention span exceeds that of a five-year-old! my attention span does flucuate quite a bit, but for a movie I can usually get myself to sit through atleast once. except fantasia, I feel asleep when I saw that for the first time, lol. and there have been a couple movies I either just stopped watching because of the boredom or revulsion the movie made me feel. or even movies that make you feel as if your intelligence is being sapped from you the longer you watch it, lol. but I'll take your recommendation into consideration if I remember it the next time I'm at Blockbuster, thanks. MTK 07-04-2004, 10:56 AM I think the list is from the past 25 years. Not all time. Slap Shot was not on it either. It must be older the 25 years. The first Rocky was released in 1976 so it misses the 25 year cutoff, man that makes me feel old SmootSmack 07-04-2004, 11:58 AM My favorite sports movie of all time is probably Eight Men Out. Where was that on the list? Was it on the list? skinsfanthru&thru 07-04-2004, 03:38 PM My favorite sports movie of all time is probably Eight Men Out. Where was that on the list? What get me is when you hear a news story and they say it happened say 25 or so years ago and you think that was a long time ago. Then they say the year and you were alive at that time. |
