ncskinsfanec 12-26-2006, 11:07 AM This run by the Eagles is almost exactly like the run we went on last year. I mean, we were 5-6 and everyone thought we were done and then won those five in a row, including 3 wins against division rivals. Just like the Eagles have done. Only thing I can say, I wish it was us instead of them. We can't put any wins together right now with that awful defense.
SKINSnCANES 12-26-2006, 11:29 AM It reminds me of this one night that I mixed way too many drinks, was sick, puking everywhere...worst morning ever, lol
And Jeff Garcia is gay...

It does, huh? Terrell Owens is the one who's gay and Romo's a homo!
Nothing I can remember in.....say the last 12 games
djnemo65 12-26-2006, 01:10 PM We were better than they are though. We underachieved and then finally played up to our potential, whereas they are in way over their heads this year. That's not to take anything away from them, their run has been phenomenal, but I would be real surprised to see them win a playoff game.
jbcjr14 12-26-2006, 01:29 PM If they get a home game, they will win the first round. I don't think they will get much further than that though. They will crumble to a team that can run the ball well (Saints/Bears) and play good defense.
The run they are on is something else though and you have to give credit where its due.

actually i am more impressed by the eagles run. three consecutive wins on the road against your division rivials w/out your stud qb is very very impressive. that's the key they are doing all of this w/out mcnabb and kearse. if you remember we beat the rams w/out bulger. as you can see by sun. game he makes a big big difference. we also beat ariz. which is not very impressive at all. and we needed the defense to bail us out against an eagles team w/out mcnabb. they probably had the worst qb in the nfl playing mike mcman. we did have two quality wins at home against dallas and nyg.
jsarno 12-26-2006, 01:38 PM They are similar but only on basic terms, when you break it down, we are quite different. They have their offense clicking on all cylinders, we only had a running game. They have a good D, we had a great D (which is what won us those games). Had we had someone like Garcia (picking up the team on his shoulders and playing extremely well) we would have won the super bowl. They won't make it because of their run defense. (even though it has tightened up as of late)
Gmanc711 12-26-2006, 01:41 PM Honestly,
I could see them going deep into the playoffs. I'm rooting very hard for New Orleans in the playoffs (Unless GB somehow squeaks in).
But I dont know, I could see anyone in the playoffs (except NYG if they make it) making a run in the NFC. Yeah Chicago and NO are really good, but they've been beating alot of the crappy NFC the whole year, so who knows?

I wouldn't call last years defense great. It was a good defense that played well together. The 06 Ravens defense is great.
