OTL, Dexter Manley Jr.

It was probably rough having Dex1 as dad. In and out of rehab for years waiting for the next adventure to begin. I still think about Sr periodically. What a shame, shooting star flamed real early. He was SO DAMN GOOD. If we get a guy like that.................look out

Dex1 was on one of the news shows a couple of months ago (I can't remember if it was local or national). Apparently he has always had it. He said it contributed to his erratic behavior, but was also part of the reason he was such a beast on the field.

Apparently he and the old man don't have much to do with each other. There was an article in ESPN magazine about a year ago about it.

The OTL reported that Jr. wanted more to do with Sr. He said that he wanted to be there for his dad, and supposedly Sr. is off drugs. (heard that before, but everyone deserves another chance.)

About Jr., from what I understand, he doesn't play all the time...he's just a Jr. (if I remember correctly), so I expect him to blossum next year when he plays full time.

Apparently Dexter Manley Sr. is off the juice and other substances, and his kid is looking good as a DE at Oregon.
I'd love to see a rerun of Dexter Manley...without a doubt in my mind the best DE ever to grace a Skins uni.

Now there was a Redskin!!! Just like Art Monk, went out and did his job quietly and was a force on the field.
Where does he stack up all time? Should he be in the HOF?

I'm not sure if this got posted yet or not but Manley Sr was at the tailgate club with Charley Taylor for the Giants game. My brother and I got autographs and a picture:
