We know that Arch is deep deep deep in the G-dub doghouse for some reason......
I agree with Matty there is no mystery, AA is not a very good player anymore. The entire world knows he is weak in coverage and QB's pick on him because he is the weak link. So coach has taken him out for a better alternative.
No mystery.
AA is gone after this year.
He will sign for a low salary with another team next year.

Arch should have played defense on Sundays in September, October, and November. But he didn't and now we are where we are
I thought it was a bad signing when we got him (I wanted Tank Williams, no better I suppose) but I really underestimated just how bad a signing it was

I can easily see him in Chicago next year.

Along with 7 million of our dollars.

how much will it cost to ut him
I blame Archuleta for sucking so bad, and I blame Williams for thinking he could turn him into something he's not... a quality safety.

When you walk out on a limb, it can do 1 of 2 things, support you, or break. If you don't take a chance, you aren't living.
I don't blame Williams for taking a chance. He thought it would work, it didn't. We all make mistakes. Live and learn. I do blame Archuletta for playing like complete crap though. I think he signed his contact and took a back seat along with all that cash.

I agree he's been bad, but is he any worse than Holdman or Marshall have been? I'm not an AA apologist but the guy was one of the better strong safties in the NFL a couple years ago and has some solid natural ability. He couldn't cover a cake with a bucket of frosting but are there NO defensive sets he won't' be completely exposed in? Let's face it, Vernon Fox hasn't set the world on fire and Vincent hasn't been back out there since he got predictably hurt. Arch may not be the best but is he worse than a journeyman and a guy who was on the couch Oct. 1st?

Very bad move. Cut him and be done with it. He can't cover anything and would be best someplace else.

I just can't wait to hear what he has to say when he leaves and although the coaches won't say much somebody is bound to shed light on this thing. I don't care what many of you think about the guy he is a solid football player who could start for many NFL teams. Talk about a scapegoat. He was just fine in run support and he got exposed in pass protection. Who hasn't on this team this year. Maybe Sean Springs and that's it! I still have no idea why he can't get back on the field and one other thing Vernon Fox is a below average NFL player on his very best day. You all must be joking me if you think he is better than Arch. It's not even close.
