onlydarksets 12-20-2006, 11:29 AM Ok so 9 games ain't enough but 4 are? and man if Garcia would had played 9 games there would be some bad games there they all have.
Really which QB in the NFC with 16 games other than Brees has played better than Romo.
You should turn up your sarcasm detector.
The point is that all players (except LT, apparently) hit hot and cold streaks. As TMC mentioned, you can't just remove part of the season and extrapolate. Homo did not have to play Jacksonville or Philly in the beginning of the season, when the Cowgirls were not playing well as a team. You know his stats would have suffered for those games. Also, he had the benefit of not carrying the entire season on his shoulders when he became a starter.
Who knows what he would have done if he had started from day 1. The only thing that is certain is that we don't know, and that he hasn't proved himself over the course of the entire season. And, to shortcut the argument, there is a big difference between missing a game or two due to injury as opposed to not playing until the middle of the season as QB.

There were 16 QBs that played better than Homo through the first 5 games.
Seriously, though, if the Cowgirls are going to have a great player on their team, how happy am I that his name rhymes with "Homo"?
D'BOYZ 12-20-2006, 11:35 AM Chris Cooley C'mon I really like the guy and hey he owns our team but if you compare him with the other TE (because he's a TE discaised asa H-back) he isn't in the top 2
C.Cooley 45 rec 608 yds 5td
A.Crumpler 47 rec 677 7 td
J.Shockey 64 rec 626 7td
J.Witten 54 rec 642 1td
It's clear that just plai nstats both Shokey and Crumpler have had a better year and deserv their election I could also agree that Cooley deserves the first alternate spot more than witten.
Also the S.Taylor comment he's a guy with a lot of potential but he has had a bad year he has taken a lot of bad angles has given up tons of TD, missed tackles you can't say he's having a better year than last year.
You can say anything about roy but he leads the nfl safeties in Turnovers with 7 5 int 2 FR
S.Taylor 94 Tkl 71 solo 1 int 3 FF
B.Dawkins the FSthat it's going has 87tkl 67 solo 1sack 3 int 4FF
And Dawkins hasn't given as many TD is that stat would be shown

I want to see Romo in 16 games, then we'll see if he's Pro Bowl worthy.

I don't agree you can only be judged by the games you play and how much value you have and if those games made a difference and put you aboved that group.
Ben Roethlisberger in 2004 went to the PB but only started 13 games but he lead his team to the championship he didn't had the best stats but his team didn't lose a game on his command.
Favre has had a lot of bad games this year, Vick also and heck Romo beat Vick, you can say all about Vick's record setting rushing yards for a QB but guess what the real function of a QB isn't running is passing and winning games and he hasn't had agood year i nany of those areas Hasselbeck has been injure and hasn't had a good year.
The only Qb if he hadn't been Injured that I believe deservedit way more than Romo is McNabb
onlydarksets 12-20-2006, 11:53 AM OK, then I choose McNabb. He's played in as many games, has more TDs, fewer INTs, and more yardage.
As for Roethlisberger, the only game he didn't play was the opener (he missed the first game, played most of the 2nd, and then was rested the final game of the season). So, he played in 13 out of 14 games, as opposed to 9 out of 14. That's a big difference.
Chris Cooley C'mon I really like the guy and hey he owns our team but if you compare him with the other TE (because he's a TE discaised asa H-back) he isn't in the top 2
Just a fyi, Cooley is officially a TE now. Saunders' offense doesn't use the H-back.
GhettoDogAllStars 12-20-2006, 12:53 PM Romo is going to the pro bowl on the strength of his team. Vick is staying home for the opposite reason. If you compare the two INDIVIDUALS, then I can't see how anyone can say Vick is worse -- he's got 1000 rushing yards! Hello! That's three zeros. I don't care if he's a QB -- he's accounted for moving the ball the entire length of the field 10 times!
Paintrain 12-20-2006, 12:56 PM A lot of NFL analysts are saying Romo should not have gotten in. The fan voting helped him immensely
The ironic thing is if the media hadn't been swinging all over his nuts for the past 5 weeks enshrining him in the Hall of Fame already they fans wouldn't have gone overboard in voting for him.
TheMalcolmConnection 12-20-2006, 01:08 PM I didn't check but did Damon Huard make it?
