i wish iverson would have stayed in Philly, and the g.m. billy king was traded. the problem in Philly wasn't iverson, it was the supporting cast around him. as for all the off court issues, i could really give a damn. iverson is a straight out baller

This is gonna make Denver more dangerous than they were. Too bad things didn't work out for Iverson in Philly.

I've got a Billy King story I think you guys might enjoy. Me and four of my buddies were drinking at the Gingerbread Man in State College, which is one of the most trafficked bars at Penn State. Moreover, this was .35 cent Michelobe night so the place was rockin. This was also during the time that the sixers were having their training camp on campus (in fact, other people have stories about Iverson hitting on girls at player's nightclub). So up walks Billy King to our table and says to my buddy, why are you wearing a Michigan hat (which my buddy was) when you go to Penn State? My buddy responds to Billy by saying, why are you wearing a Duke hat? (which he also was). Billy says, I went to Duke. Touche right? Well good for you, says my friend.

So my buddy lost the argument, but Billy is a really nice gracious guy, and we all shake his hand and wish him luck. So the waitress comes over 5 minutes later and is like, Mr. King would like to buy you guys a round of drinks. Five more .35 cent Michelobes? That's okay, we say, and all order like Grey Gooses and Vodkas. It was about 40 bucks for our five drinks, which at Penn State is enough money to get drunk at the bar for at least a week straight.

Anyway, Mr. King bought us a round of drinks just for losing a drunken argument about hats, so I think he's a great guy, and I will say that they got more for Iverson than I expected them to, so he deserves credit for that as well.

iverson is the leagues leading scorer, and they basically got 2 stiffs for him. this was a lousy trade from the sixers viewpoint. all they did was free up cap space

Well they got two decent players and two first round picks. How were they going to do better than that? Yeah, you can say that Iverson is theoretically worth more, and maybe is, but in the real world who was going to offer more? You did okay Billy, you did okay.
