1-4 in the division. The division appears likely to send 2 wildcard teams and the division leader. If the Skins are in another division, they are 7-7 or 6-8 like every other team in the NFC that's not the Bears?
Could be a positive harbinger for next year, that the team isn't as bad as it seems.

No, we were supposed to be able to compete with the NFC East this year.
Losses to Tampa Bay (easily the worst of the year), Minnesota, and Tennessee really set the tone for the season.
Winning those would put us at 8-6 and right in the thick of the playoff race.

Minnesota, Tennessee, Tampa aren't in our division and we couldn't beat them.
The sad thing is with a couple more wins we could be right in there. The NFC sucks. I thought maybe Dallas or the Saints were good, but looks like they're not. The Bears are the only semi-decent team in the NFC.

Right. That backs up my contention that it wasn't the NFC East that "victimized" us this year.

MAYBE if we were in the NFC West, we'd have another win or two. MAYBE.
I can't blame the schedule on this one. Even looking at the Falcons/Eagles games, we clearly outplayed those teams and lost the past two weeks. It is what it is.

I don't know that we "outplayed" the Falcons. For the first quarter maybe, but they outplayed us for the following three.

All I can say is that the schedule will be a bit more favorable next season. We'll be playing the NFC North and AFC East next year. We'll be playing some dogs like the Lions and Packers as well as dogs at the bottom of the NFC South and NFC West from this season. Just an excuse. We lost to Tampa Bay, Minnesota at home, Tennessee at home, and Philly without McNabb at home.
They have no one to blame but themselves.

I think saying without McNabb is unfair becuase although Garcia is their number 2 he has won 3 straight. Also forgot ATlanta tho we should have beat them off easily witha 14 point lead
