Does anyone else get that feeling of, "yeah he will make it", when ever S. Suisham goes out for a field goal? I mean, he is by far not the best kicker in the NFL, but from what the Redskins are used to, he isnt that bad. Since coming on board with the Redskins he is 7-8 and his miss was over 50 yards. He was 3-3 against the Saints, and lets be honest would we have won today if Novak was still our kicker???
Is John Hall coming back next year? I hope that we seriously consider Suisham for next year atleast give him a chance in training camp...
I'm liking what I'm seeing of Suisham so far.

Actually I keep waiting for the other shoe to to drop. I don't think he really is nearly as good as he has shown. I hope I am wrong but with the state of our kicking game for near a decade now I doubt I will ever trust a kicker again.

seriously. Every time our kicking team comes out onto the field, i keep getting this "I won't be suprised if he misses this one" feeling. The way our kicking game has been the past few years, I'm not sure i'll ever trust another kicker either.

I think we can all agree, we may have found the answer to our kicking woes.

I'm not sure I would say that, but I can say that I am very happy with the way Suisham has kicked so far. If he can keep it up, he should come into camp next year as the guy to beat.

I'm still not oppossed to signing vanderget but Suisham has been impressive so far, kickoffs have been deeper too, would like to see him attempt another 50+ yarder

So far Suisham has been nice, but he's not under lots of pressure right now. How he performs when he has to make a kick to win a game with playoff implications will be a more telling tale.
Certainly give him a chance next year, but I'd be looking to bring in an accomplished veteran anyway.

my sentiments exactly. Suisham has been great thus far, but because of the woes we've had, I'm waiting for him to miss 2 chip shots. I'd like to see him kick against competition in Training Camp next year and see how well he does under pressure.

I think John Hall is gone - he is going to make $2 million next year and that is a lot of money for a kicker who has not been healthy for the last couple of years. Plus his releasing fee is only $500k so this will help the cap next year by cutting him.
