JC played reasonably well. i say the MVP though is the defense... maybe even c. rogers.

he hasnrt even played a handful of games yet. if we did lose i wouldnt be all over him our year is already over. he makes our offense better how many times did the skins try the deep ball at least 5 or 6 times. he still needs to work on his touch passes but he has two more games and all offseason to be ready for next year. he is our future has a strong arm and is atheltic so his upside is good.

Honestly he's what i expected so far. If you were looking for a polished qb who didn't make mistakes you came to the wrong team. I don't think anyone here should be suprised at his play. I think he is progressing though.

He did not perform like a pro bowl QB and missed some throws, but I love what he is bringing to the table. Stepping up in the pocket, the deep ball, ability to scramble and keep a play alive and give the recievers a chance instead of just throwing it away.
Accuracy has been a issue, but again today he made some good throws that connected, but also made some great throws that were not his fault that fell. The ball lost in the lights to Lloyd that would have been a big gain. Cooley dropped one that hit him in the chest that would have been another big pick up. No turnovers.
The skipping passes are the biggest concern, I'm not sure if this is a technique issue or a situational issue during games that is causing him to skip the ball.
I noticed that on both balls that Campbell skipped to Moss (one of which should have been ruled a catch), his feet weren't set when he tried to deliver the ball. That's a footwork issue that Saunders and Lazar should be able to correct. One play that concerned me was the WR screen he threw to Moss. Campbell's windup delivery got the ball to Moss a beat later than Brunell would have, allowing the defender to get all over Santana as soon as the catch was made. Saunders should scrap that play until he tightens up Campbell's delivery.

I agree with Mathias. JC looked pretty darn good. He had some accuracy issues but I am more concerned with his composure and ability to run the offense right now. He was basically lights out on both accounts.

Who the hell is Mathias?

He's only 24 years old, and making just his fifth start, he's not going to look like Peyton Manning just yet. Just like with the rest of the team, have some patience. I think Campbell actually looks pretty good, and is gaining confidence, I love his rocket arm!

Yeah, his delivery has some minor issues that I'm sure they coaches will continue to work on in the offseason. I suspect that they aren't really trying to address "tecnique" issues in the middle of the season, rather choosing to focus on the game plan and making sure Campbell is mentally prepared to play. With another offseason to work with knowing he's the starter I'm sure they will work with him to keep the ball off his hip and fire from his shoulder.

Regarding the skipped balls, it isn't perfect but I'll take it over sailing balls high any day. He reminds me a lot of McNabb from that respect. DMac will skip balls low when he is off.

Personally, I think Campbell is coming along slowly but surely. Don't underestimate playing experience as a teaching tool. Look at Alex Smith in SF. He's still not great but his comp % is up from 50% last year to low 60's this year. It just takes time.

I do think that he played good today, yeah he missed some throws but that will happen. A QB in the NFL will not make every throw during the game, all QB's admit that they have thrown balls that they would like to have back.

I love the idea of JC saying that he plans on training with Moss in the offseason. To me that is GREAT news!!!! Hopefully next year those two will have an awsome year....

I thought he played like absolute shit today, so many times he had recievers wide open and missed them by a long shot, I can remember 6 of these instances, maybe there were more. If we lost, all you guys would be all over him, but the fact is we only scored 16 points with Betts having over 150 rushing/screen pass yards.
