Then he made another horrible move by not moving Marvin Lewis to head coach.........

That was the true dumb move. Marty is a career postseason choker. I hope San Diego isn't expecting anything.

Yea, you're right it was Marty's fault that Earnest Byner fumbled on the 1 yard line. Its a fine line b/n winning and losing. Sometimes the chips just don't fall where you would like them too.

Snyder's worst mistake was letting Marty go. Last time i checked Marty was doing fairly well.

Even Martyball won't derail the San Diego express from riding all the way to the Super Bowl this year. The Chargers are loaded on both sides of the ball. I love their D-line, and when you add the closest thing to the original LT in Merriman, they are a QB's nightmare.

What was he supposed to do to keep Lewis? As for Marty, yeah it sucks it didn't work out. But I look at it as overall we got the better end of the San Diego-Redskins coaching swap (granted it's a two decade difference)

I'll bet San Diego fans in the 1980s were bitching and moaning that the Chargers let go of their hotshot young offensive coordinator

Let me paint a picture for you.
1995, KC 13-3, great team, lost first round. 12th offense, 1st defense.
1997, KC 13-3, great team, lost first round. 6th offense, 1st defense.
2004, SD 12-4, great team, lost first round. 3rd offense, 11th defense.

ps- they are 1st in offense, and 12th in defense this year.

By the way, those were the last 3 years his team made a playoff appearance. He's 5-12 in career playoff games.
Marty is a choker.

If snyder wanted him to be the head coach, he woulda made sure he got him. Marvin was looking for a head coaching position, snyder wanted spurrier cause he was blinded by his love of the old ball coach, but the real coaching talent was right under his nose....he shoulda promoted ML to head coach.

Mark my words, they will not win the super bowl.
See my above comment, 12th in defense. Merriman can't do it all alone. They are good on D, but not great.

The whole NFL was in love with OBC, that's why he got such good money.
