The guy is freaking amazing. He's going to pass the 9,000 yard mark in just his 6th season. He's seriously putting up Tecmo Bowl numbers. He has 29 TDs now on the season with 3 games to go! He's on pace for over 35!

He's seriously putting up Tecmo Bowl numbers. He has 29 TDs now on the season with 3 games to go! He's on pace for over 35! He is pure Fantasy Football Murder if you're playing against him. I openly ridiculed people in my leagues this year who drafted Larry Johnson over LT. Really, for the past five years straight, LT should have been the #1 overall pick, he's just that good. You know how someone is on a whole 'nother plane of goodness? When he's having a "bad day" and only rushes for 100 yards and 1 score. And the best part about LT is that he's very modest and down to earth, shares all of his accolades with his teammates, and is, by all accounts, a consummate sportsman. I dare say that we are watching the future Best RB Of All Time, and he might not have even peaked yet. BDBohnzie 12-11-2006, 09:43 AM He's quietly had an incredible career, and with Marty at the helm, he'll continue to get the touches. IMO, he's got one foot in the HOF already. 12thMan 12-11-2006, 09:43 AM The guy has one foot, two hands, and his little toe in Canton. SmootSmack 12-11-2006, 09:48 AM Plus, he's THROWN for two touchdowns this year jbcjr14 12-11-2006, 10:22 AM His throwing stats are almost as good as ARE! No question LT is the league MVP this season. He can do it all and does it with class. Schneed10 12-11-2006, 11:11 AM Yeah, he's got a case for Canton already: - Fastest player to reach 100 TDs. - Single season TD leader (did it in 13 games, Jim Brown never did it in his 14-game seasons) Here are the career rushing TD leaders, ALL TIME: Emmitt Smith 164 Marcus Allen 123 Walter Payton 110 Jim Brown 106 John Riggins 104 Marshall Faulk 100 Barry Sanders 99 Ladainian Tomlinson 98 He'll hop over Barry and Marshall this season, and quite possibly Riggins. Brown, Payton, and Marcus Allen are in his sights for next year, when Tomlinson will be 28. Did I mention he's a much better receiver than Brown, Emmitt, Barry, or Sweetness? As for yardage, consider this. Tomlinson has reached 8788 rushing yards right now. He'll probably finish this season with 9000+ after 6 seasons. After six seasons, the NFL's career all-time rushing leader Emmitt Smith had 8956 rushing yards. The second leading rusher all-time, Walter Payton, had 8386. Tomlinson isn't just making a case to be in Canton. He's making a case to be the best RB to ever play. MTK 12-11-2006, 11:14 AM Tomlinson isn't just making a case to be in Canton. He's making a case to be the best RB to ever play. I'd take it even further, he's making a case to become one of the best all-time athletes across all sports. SmootSmack 12-11-2006, 11:15 AM Ironic, because he was traded for the guy who was already anointed the greatest ever...Michael Vick ArtMonkDrillz 12-11-2006, 11:16 AM He might also win me one of the Warpath free fantasy leagues. So he's go that going for him, which is nice. |
