If you guys don't want Gibbs.......... I do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
Another poor play calling game by GibbsGiantone 12-11-2006, 08:00 AM If you guys don't want Gibbs.......... I do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) 61cad 12-11-2006, 10:08 AM It's hard to win when you spot a team 14 easy points off turnovers. Not when you have 1st goal from the 3 and your down by 5. That would have won the game. MTK 12-11-2006, 10:09 AM Not when you have 1st goal from the 3 and your down by 5. That would have won the game. Or you could say it wouldn't have come down to that if you take away the 14 gimme points. The Zimmermans 12-11-2006, 10:15 AM Gibbs probably made the decision to kick the field goal at the end.......knowing that the defense would "fight its guts out" for force an eagles three and out. Right decision, however, wrong defense. How can we not stop JEFF GARCIA when it counts!!!!!!!!!!! 61cad 12-11-2006, 10:16 AM Or you could say it wouldn't have come down to that if you take away the 14 gimme points. So, not getting into the end zone with a 1st in goal on the 3 is OK? It's justified because of the the 2 picks? Keep drinking that Gibbs Coolaide. Getting in was not acceptable. Just as unacceptable as throwing 2 early picks that lead to 14 easy points. Both situations lead to the loss. If that's kool-aid please pass the grape kind please. 61cad 12-11-2006, 10:30 AM If this team stinks up pre-season again and goes 50%or under on wins next year will Gibbs still have a "pass" to coach the 5th season of his contract? Looking at the Skins coaching moves last year, is the plan of Gibbs leaving this team after year 5 still make sense? Based on those coaching moves would Gibbs have to be a GM to make this year coaching moves stable for the Skins in the year after Gibbs retires? Lot of talk about the stability Gibbs brings, but is there stability once he leaves or moves out of the heading coaching job? Riggins on XXX radio (Dan Snyders station) asked these same questions to his in studio staff Friday Dec. 8th at 4:45 PM. He questioned the stability that Gibbs has brought or is bringing. So, what stability is Gibbs bringing to the Skins for the future of this team? 12thMan 12-11-2006, 10:35 AM If this team stinks up pre-season again and goes 50%or under on wins next year will Gibbs still have a "pass" to coach the 5th season of his contract? So, what stability is Gibbs bringing to the Skins for the future of this team? You bring up a very good point. Most of us say, well, we need Gibbs to stick it out because we need to be in a stable situation or whatever. While I agree with that in principle, I'm not sure staying for five years for the sake of creating a stable environment is the solution either. Just to be clear, I'm not calling for Gibbs head, I'm just saying 5 yrs of losing will eventually put us back at square one anyway. The only way for this to really be solved is winning. Gibbs has to turn this around in the next two years. 61cad 12-11-2006, 10:40 AM You bring up a very good point. MTK 12-11-2006, 10:43 AM and you won't see a Gibbs lover touch this post. Why, because the truth hurts! Actually, I agree completely that Gibbs staying for 5 years just for the sake of staying doesn't contribute to consistency. It's what he does with those 5 years that will matter. I don't think any "Gibbs' lovers" would deny that. This post has officially been "touched". |
