5 Bright Spots for the Redskins This YearMTK 12-08-2006, 12:52 PM Golston has been a real find. I've been most impressed w/ Golston. He seems like the real deal. I'm having a hard time w/ anyone else on the d b/c they've been so bad. Betts, has been very good, but we've kindof known he is a pretty good backup. Rock has done a better than expected job, and seems to have created a niche for himself. hail_2_da_skins 12-08-2006, 01:02 PM You know I thought about Fox - for a split second. These five have been consistent all season long or made some game changing plays. Fox on the other hand, has sorta stood in for Vincent while injured. Not to take anything away from his contribution though. Fox may have not been consistent all year, but he has in my view been a pleasant surprise. I know he has done well on special teams, but I didn't know he could field his position pretty well and there is some potential for improvement. I also noticed that because he was handling his side of the field, Sean Taylor started making more plays. I'm still puzzled as to what the Skins are going to do with Adam Archuletta. It would be too big of a salary cap hit to just let him go. They have to find a way to get some production out of him. 12thMan 12-08-2006, 01:20 PM Fox may have not been consistent all year, but he has in my view been a pleasant surprise. It looks more and more like we're going to bite the bullet on Archuletta....and letta him go. I think Fox will further assert himself next year. SmootSmack 12-08-2006, 01:21 PM 12thMan should hang his head in shame for not spelling "Redskins" correctly in the thread title Or was that your subtle way of saying the Redskins have no "D"? ;) 12thMan 12-08-2006, 01:26 PM 12thMan should hang his head in shame for not spelling "Redskins" correctly in the thread title Or was that your subtle way of saying the Redskins have no "D"? ;) Damn dude, you caught that! hahaha Hey, could you put the 'D' back in there for me...? SmootSmack 12-08-2006, 01:30 PM Done dmek25 12-08-2006, 01:30 PM maybe he ought to rethink his caveman philosophy :) ArtMonkDrillz 12-08-2006, 01:31 PM Hey, could you put the 'D' back in there for me...? I don't think they should. You should have to forever be known for your error. You should have to wear the missed "D" as a sign to all others of your past sins. Much like my name has the stupid "Z" in it because I thought it would make me seem edgy. :( firstdown 12-08-2006, 01:33 PM I don't know how you can have JC as a bright spot of this year. He has only started in three games which we have lost two. His average yards per game is around 150 yards, 50% completion, and he has three int. I'm not saying he does not have the potential to become a good QB but saying he is a surprise of the year is just dream. |
