Injuries are a factor but not so much as the loss of the individual but how it impacts the belief that other players and coaches have in the individual that steps up. If the team doesn't believe or loses faith in one another then you're looking at a peformance affecting chain reaction due to one or many guys injuries.

I'm not disputing that injuries are a part of the NFL.
I'm just saying they are a factor, a factor for every team. Some teams can fight through but it all depends on the severity of the injuries and what key guys are hurt.
The teams that fight through injuries ( for the most part) are the teams with quality depth. We have NO QUALITY DEPTH. Example. 2nd rounder to move up to get Rocky. The 3rd & 4th rounders we gave to SF for LLoyd. 3rd rounder given up to Duckett. I could go on. My point is these moves that are going to hurt the depth of the team in the future. These are guys you groom in your system that add depth and play teams.

I don't really like it when people say a team has to be strong enough to fight through all their injuries because every team faces them because it totally takes out the fact that luck plays into it so much. For example, if the Colts lost one of their guards they might be lucky enough to have a backup who can fill in and the team won't miss a beat, but if they lose Manning they are S.O.L. It's all a matter of who you lose and when you lose him.
But basically this was just a post made so that I can remind everyone that 724Skinsfan sucks the big one. He lacks proper personal grooming techniques and I have it on good authority that he doesn't signal when changing lanes on the highway.
Suck it, 724. Suck it indeed.

Like you wouldn't believe. I caught him trying on the french maid outfit I got him for X-mas. That was supposed to be a suprise damnit!
And I need to stop the hijacking before I get yelled at.

Hey, quick question - where did you get the outfit? I've been looking for one.

First of all, show me proof where he spent 18 hours a day in NASCAR. Secondly, who's to say his intentions were not to spend more time with his family? I mean geez, really, does the guy owe us an explanation? No, he doesn't.
That was like 15 years ago. Hold on a sec, I'll go through my newspaper archives and pull it out for you.
If you're old enough to remember, you remember. It was on sportscenter. When he left we were all shocked, but understood. When we found out he didn't spend time with family, he went to NASCAR, a lot of us were upset for not being honest. This is not opinion, but fact. All was forgiven when he came back, but you never know when he might do it again. So we need to enjoy his leadership while we have it.
Your comment of "does he owe us an explanation?" Of course not, but he offered one. He could have left for any reason in his own head, including burnt out or just don't have the spark anymore. No one would care. But don't tell us one thing and do another. However, he did cite health issues, and that was true...he should have left it at that.

Skinsguy...oddly enough, I did find a little proof. I didn't think I would since it was so long ago.
here is the site I got this info from:
About Joe Gibbs, Joe Gibbs Online, Sign Up for Joe's Weekly Spiritual Game Plan!, Joe Gibbs (http://www.joegibbsonline.com/about_joe.php)
"Gibbs retired from football in 1993, after citing health problems. He was known for his long hours, and he said he wanted to spend more time with his family."
"as he led the Washington Redskins to three Super Bowl victories in four appearances, then quit to own a NASCAR racing team."
