I agree about Springs. It's time to consider moving him to safety or a backup role. He clearly can't be counted on anymore.

If Springs is a safety then they need a 3rd corner also. Rogers can be the #2 corner but none of the other corners on the roster should be in the top 3 spots next year.

The Redskins need a #1 corner...Springs should only be counted on as a #2 at this point in his career and Rogers will never be a #1...I don't want to say he's a bust yet but I think he will never be more than a decent #2.

They need to get younger on both lines of scrimmage. Games are won in this league on the line of scrimmage. The Redskins need to start building from the inside out instead of from the outside in.

our lines really arent old, the only "old" guy on either line is daniels, and he will be replaced i think or atleast someone else will be brought in

samuels 29 dockery 26 rabach 29 thomas 30 jansen 30

carter 27 golston 23 griffen 30 daniels 33

Looks like we might get a top 5 pick. I can't say that we are going to win more than 1 more game right now. That would put us at 5-11.

We might be able to move down a little in the 1st and get some add'l 2-3rd rounders to fill in some holes.

By next season 4 of the o lineman will be 30+...I am not saying we need to change all these players out next season but we need to do a better job of building depth at these positions so that we have guys on the roster to step in when these guys go down. Golston was a good start, but in general the depth on this roster is awful. And it's clear that when the Redskins throw money around it's usually on a flashy position and not necesarily on someone in the trenches.

i see what you are saying, and id agree with age being a problem if it was the wide recievers, or the running backs, but olineman can be effective players for a long time (shields, roaf, jones, ogden, allen, brown etc.)

I think the age of the offensive lineman is not a huge issue although I agree with the general sentiments that I do think it mandates that we start building depth with younger players there.

What is more disconcerting actually is the drop-off we have seen from Jansen on the right side. I wonder if he is completely healthy because it is really strange, the drop off in his play the last couple of years.

I believe he is partially responsible for that last interception in the game yesterday.

I am not saying it's time to ship them out...I just think that this season has been a perfect example of how the Redskins have no depth. More often then not whent he redskins have an injury the guy who steps in does not even look like an NFL player...and as our lines age we should expect more injuries not less.

You know, I did a bit of research and found that Taylor Whitley was a 3rd round pick and Todd Wade was a former 2nd round pick.

I wonder if either of these guys can give us anything off the bench.

I also wonder if Todd Wade could eventually provide some support of Jansen can't regain his form from a couple years ago?

So this isn't a personnel move, but it is something that the team should change this offseason: LOWERING prices for missing the playoffs!

We were talking about this on the ride home yesterday. The ownership of the team seems to think it's okay to raise the prices for each ticket because the team made the playoffs last season. Since they already are a huge disappointment this season isn't it only fair that they lower ticket prices for next season? Same goes for the $10 per game increase for parking.
In fact, this should be a yearly thing for the Skins: they make the playoffs one year and ticket prices go up $5 the next. But, if they miss the playoffs one year they drop $5. Again, same deal for parking.
I suppose there would have to be ranges set so that tickets don't get too cheap/expensive (cheap being the key based on our recent records).
Other professional franchises have done things like this and I really think the Skins need to jump on that bandwagon because FedEx is routinely only 65% full for games.
