No, sorry for the confusion. The other guy said it would be pointless to fire the HC and leave the coordinators. I responded by asking this question, because if you get rid of the HC you almost always clean house, unless you hire one of the coordinators as the new HC.
Answer my first question about who our next head coach should be if we fire Gibbs.

By the way, when was the last time a head coach was fired in the NFL and both defensive and offensive coordinators stuck around? Never. Firing the Coach cleans house generally.
But you said it's all Joe Gibbs fault, you never said it was anyone else's fault but Joe's. So Either you are quite happy with our coordinator's or not. If not, then it isn't all Joe Gibbs fault. Again, you never answered my question. Are you ready to give Joe Gibbs all the credit for taking this team to the playoffs and advancing in the playoffs last year -- in only his second year back? If you're not, then your whole argument is skewed.

Well since you have all the answers Paulskinsfan, who should we hire as coach next year? Whoever it is, I doubt he will be better than Joe Gibbs and the rest of this staff. Gibbs knows what he's doing. He'll get this turned around next year.
And if not next year, then the next. Then, if its not better we should give him another year, after all he is Joe Gibbs.

Id hire Russ Grimm and go after the Patriots GM.

Sure, Joe Gibbs took the team to the playoffs he gets the credit. He also gets the credi or the criticism for all of the personnel, clock management and play calling under his watch because its HIS WATCH! He is ultimately responsible.

And after two years you'd hire someone else, and after two years of that coach you'd hire someone else. This is a losing pattern and the mentality of how this franchise has been going through for the past several years...which is what we're trying to GET AWAY FROM.

ITs been 3 years, we've lost the future with our draft picks and we have spent more than any other team in free agency, YES Id say its time to clean house!

Most of us don't get 3 years to get our job done right. Denny Green?

We're not going to be able to get the Patriots GM. Would Russ Grimm even want to come back to Washington after Dan Snyder got rid of him as the o-line coach in 2000 and after he fired Gibbs?

I agree with a lot that your saying Paulskinsfan, and congrats on ripping up skinsguy, ncskinfanec, hesscl34, and bedlamvr. Paul wins 4-0.
but seriously he's right and I don't understand why a lot of you are giving him a hard time. He's defending his argument and has made some very good points. All the counter-arguments seem to be coming from people who either don't know anything about football, or are afraid to face the facts.
