There's a lot of messed up stuff going on in Iraq on all sides, yet the left only talks about American atrocities and the right only talks about what the Iraqis and foreign insurgents are doing. It's dumb. War sucks and all sides do things that we should loathe. But on the whole, if you want to talk about malicious and evil acts, I think the insurgents have got us beat hands down.

Should I start posting vids of the insurgents beheading people, kidnapping and torturing (not the Gitmo style torturing, but some serious sh-t) people, blowing up U.S. troops as they hand out candy to kids (yes they killed a bunch of troops handing out candy to kids as well as the kids), or killing people just because they belong to the wrong religious sect?

I find it ironic that the far left constantly talks about humanitarian crises and disasters (e.g. Sudan), yet wants us to withdraw from Iraq immediately. What do they think will happen if we withdraw from Iraq? There IS a civil war in Iraq right now, but it's only going to get worse if we leave. Meanwhile, the right could care less about humanitarian crises, yet is using humanitarian concerns, in part, to justify staying in Iraq. Both sides are full of it.

But, do we really need to get into all of this? I think this issue is going to sharply divide a lot of people.

if those kids were trying to shoot the soldiers and all they got was a swift kick in the nuts, i would say that they are pretty lucky

The military's policy is to shoot if shot at even if the shooters are kids. I can guarantee you that all these kids were doing was throw rocks so please no more bs about how these kids "might" have shooting at them. If the kids shot at them they would be dead. Period!

That reminds me of the movie Black Hawk Down, where the one soldier says something like "Sarge, they're shooting at us!" Sarge says "Well shoot back (dumbass)!"

So you think that gettin' your ass "ROCKED"...........and whatever by a bunch of street urchins is not cause to deliver some reprisal? Not where I grew up. We need to lose the mentality of being every other countries whipping boy. LET"S PLAY BY THEIR RULES!!! Don't do the crime if you can't do the time! Don't do it. and keep your eye on the sparrow

These are also British troops, they have different policies than US troops, probably the same but hey you never know. I mean honestly people dont forget that they are fighting a damn war, dont undermine the troops, if you wanna disagree with the war fine but videos like this show the horrors of war and a lot of times are taken out of context, Do you know what was going on 5 minutes before the camera man started taping? No i dont think you do so shut the fuck up and dont ever post anything on this site that is demoralizing these soldiers again, I dont come to the warpath to see this kind of banter, If i wanted that id spend my days carousing CNN.com. These guys are out there looking at life and death everyday, id go ahead and say anyones judgement, although i dont even feel it was wrong in this situation would be a little fucked up in a war situation. thats the problem with the john murthas and john kerrys all these hacks that undermine soldiers fighting in a war, good one guys, way to take a cheap shot at soldiers out there in a warzone.

The military's policy should be to shoot back REGARDLESS of the shooters age

Again, I don't see this going anywhere positive.

In all honesty SGG, I'm not sure it's "hoyle" to post your point of view(although I probably agree with most of it), and then suggest the subject matter is out of bounds?

If kids want to throw rocks, they have to be ready for a beatdown in return.

Here in the states, you throw rocks at someone, and the police catch you, you get charged with assault. If you throw rocks at someone and the police are not around, a lot of people will try to kick your ass.

I don't see anything wrong here. They threw rocks, they took a beating. Big deal. They'll live.

Just to add a different perspective...

Here in the States we know throwing rocks is a chargeable offense no matter the circumstances but I wonder what is the lawful punishment in the Arab world. I only ask because isn't the practice of "stoning" still used as a punishment? Do the people really think that they are breaking the law by throwing stones at a group of people whom they believe are "the bad guys"? In the Arab world, are the youths justified by throwing rocks at a foreign occupant?
