Whether or not you agree with something, if you didn't write it should be clear that you didn't write it and-whenever possible-a link should be made to wherever the story came from hesscl34 11-30-2006, 01:29 PM thanks for the schooling but I don't care if someone thinks I wrote it or not if I post it it is because I agree with it and I will say say so which i did! Monkeydad 11-30-2006, 01:54 PM Joe Gibbs probably made his quarterback switch decision a few weeks too late to have an impact on this lost Washington season, but at least he did it. The move was about preparing for the future (hopefully about 10) seasons more than salvaging this season. With no defense, Portis or Moss, it's already a lost season. Campbell will get PLENTY of experience and I think the timing was fine. Brunell WOULD have been better for this year, for the postseason...but he can't take us there alone....so it's Campbell time. 3rd ID SOLDIER 11-30-2006, 02:07 PM thanks guys I love being american I appreciate all of you guys point of views keep rockin! Daseal 11-30-2006, 02:22 PM Brunell WOULD have been better for this year, for the postseason...but he can't take us there alone....so it's Campbell time. Where does this come from? Personally, from what I saw in the playoffs from Brunell last year, I was ready to start Campbell from day 1. It would have been rougher to start, but we'd be in a better position now. Would have forced the run game to stay going while he learned, and that in turn would help our D. 724Skinsfan 11-30-2006, 02:24 PM thanks guys I love being american I appreciate all of you guys point of views keep rockin! . . . . . . . . Here are some periods that I wasn't planning on using today. You can have them if your supply has run out. Just kidding! SmootSmack 11-30-2006, 02:46 PM Where does this come from? I mean, if he was healthy and able to carry the team like he essentially did at the end of last year that Gibbs would have been more comfortable putting Campbell in earlier? JoeRedskin 11-30-2006, 03:08 PM Do you think things might have been different had Portis not gotten hurt that first preseason game? I mean, if he was healthy and able to carry the team like he essentially did at the end of last year that Gibbs would have been more comfortable putting Campbell in earlier? No. Gibbs made it pretty clear that Brunnell was the guy. I am not sure where I read it, but the consensus seemed to be that the team thought it was ready for a SB run. As such, Gibbs was going to go with his experienced QB to get them there and, remember, Brunnell was the QB when they made their playoff run last year. I am sure Gibbs thought Brunnell was the one to turn around the offensive woes again this year and only went to Campbell after becoming convinced Brunnell wasn't getting it done (two years ago, we went through the same thing before he put in Ramsey). |
