Pudge 11-29-2006, 01:03 PM Falcon fan here that will be at the game this week. Just wondering how has Campbell looked in his 2 starts, since I haven't had a chance to see him. From the stat lines he has looked pretty good, but I also noticed that the Redskins really haven't had any big completions in the past 2 weeks from their WRs. Guys are averaging under 10 yards per pass.
I'd like to say I think the Falcons can win this one, but I'm not so confident. While Campbell seemingly has brought fresh air to the Redskins offense, that is exactly what the Falcons are needing, and it doesn't look like it's going to come from Vick.
hesscl34 11-29-2006, 01:10 PM I guess you missed the pass to Cooley last week for the TD, and the pass to Lloyd in Tampa that was perfect, even if it was dropped? Mark was the one always throwing the shot pass. We still have a lot to watch, but JC can throw deep very well. JC isn't fast like Vick, but he is accurate and VERY smart. Best thing about him is that he doesn’t get rattled or let his emotions take over.
Big C 11-29-2006, 01:12 PM cooley isnt a wide reciever. he said the wide recievers havent had big plays. the first game we had no moss, and moss was just a non-factor last week coming back from the hamstring injury. i see him doing a lot better this week. campbell has looked very poised in the pocket and can make all the throws, huge arm, and can scramble if needed. so far he has been a little inconsistant with his throws, but they are all close, none really terrible
Monkeydad 11-29-2006, 01:13 PM Very efficient. Accurate except for when he was a little overexcited in his first game and overthrew the ball a couple of times (looked like a cannon firing though). 4 TDs and only 1 INT.
He'd have more yards passing if Betts hadn't been so good last week and kept the running game going.
Vick was 9-24 last week. Sure a lot of balls were dropped by their horrible receivers, but he's just not a good decision maker. He also tries to do TOO much when his teammates are struggling and ends up making mistakes.
SmootSmack 11-29-2006, 01:13 PM Welcome to the board Pudge.

Thanks for informing me about Cooley, Big C. I am AWARE that he isn't a WR - you know exactly what I was trying to point out!:oink:
illdefined 11-29-2006, 01:16 PM hey, Falcons fan huh? welcome to the board.
try changing your avatar to a Falcons helmet in the User CP in the top left.
i don't follow the falcs, but i never understood why Vick gets hated on so much. i'd say 170+ rushing yards from a QB may just make up for some of his bad passing. i'm assuming a lot of those passes are INTs and he fumbles a lot?
Campbell is a breath of fresh air here, but the gameplan still seems as conservative as when Brunell was behind center. i'm sure its because they don't want Campbell making mistakes, but turning him into another Brunell isn't the answer. 3 games in is still too little to let him loose, so i expect the same conservative gameplan that needs the defense to show up for us to win.
normally i'd say you have a great chance of winning, but if some of those defensive fixes we showed last week stick, i think you guys are in real trouble.
Hey, how did Falcon fans feel about the Duckett trade, i'm dying to know.
Big C 11-29-2006, 01:16 PM Thanks for informing me about Cooley, Big C. I am AWARE that he isn't a WR - you know exactly what I was trying to point out!:oink:
his whole point was the wide recievers havent made big plays, which is correct. since cooley isnt a wide reciever, his statement is true, because lloyd, randle el, and moss did nothing so far since campbell has been in there
