Last nite I stumbled across an hour show on ESPN Classics (by the guy who does all those NFL films.. can't remember his name off hand) about the 1971 Skins. What was neat about this was that most of the footage came from hidden cameras inside the locker room, interviews with players like Billy Kilmer and Chris Hamburger, and microphones on Coach George Allen. Sometimes a player was nude in the locker room and they had to cover up part of the screen...lol. Also lots of hidden camera footage when Allen wouldn't allow reporters in the locker room.

One game against the Eagles, Allen was wired up but when the Skins were losing he ran into the locker room and yanked off the microphone because he thought it was jinksing the team. Another intesting tidbit was that evidently Verlon Biggs was a real dirty player and one game he stepped on a guys hand on purpose with his cleats.... Coach Allen didn't give him a reward because he didn't break the guy's hand!

Anyway... sorta a neat show. look for it if it comes on again. Not sure the exact name of the show but I'm pretty sure it had Hidden Camera or something like that in the title.

That may have been the NFL films 1971 "Hail to the Redskins". Seen it before and you're right, it's great stuff. Love that old footage, but never have the time to check out ESPN's programming ahead of time to make sure I don't miss it.
